Don't know enough about the players / coaches to really give insight on that. Obviously the offensive player will be a Quarterback. Maybe the transfer that IUP acquired from Ohio. Game of the year will be IUP @ Slippery Rock. Or Cal @ IUP.

The 2019 Final Standings will be:

1. IUP - Hawks got pride hurt last year
2. SRU - Three toughest games at Dr. Evil Stadium
3. Cal - Road games at Cal and SRU makes it tough
4. Mercyhurst - I've heard they could take 'Bama
5. #LIT-AF - They'll bring the boom ... but poorly coached.
6. Clarion - Always so close, but so far.
7. Edinboro - May be a long year
8. Seton Hill - Likely not a .500 D3 team

West Offensive Player of the Year: Roland Rivers (SRU)

West Defensive Player of the Year: Damon Lloyd (IUP)

West Coach of the Year: Paul Tortarella

West Game of the Year: IUP at SRU

West Upset of the Year:
: Mercyhurst, at home, knocks off SRU (in a trap game for SRU)

The Monk crystal ball has been malfunctioning lately. But, I'll give it a shot.

1. IUP
2. Cal
3. SRU
4. Boro
5. Lit AF
6. Mercyhurst
7. Clarion
8. Seton Hill

Offensive Players of the Year: Roland Rivers (SRU) looked like dynamic player last year, so that will carry over. Honorable mention to IUP OL men Colin McAllister and Jeff Arnold as they open up more holes than a Swiss cheese manufacturing process.
West Defensive Player of the Year: Damon Lloyd (IUP). He looks like a real wrecking ball.
West Coach of the Year: Tort and his staff for righting last year's list of the Good Ship IUP.
West Upset of the Year:
: Lit AF catches Cal on a day the Vulcan's just weren't feeling it at the Mistake on the Lake.

As the first few IUP posters showed, it is actually possible to pick IUP first while also making some effort to give their posts actual value. The last few posts essentially equate to pointless spam.

LOL ... I tried to at least make a 'discussion' thread. That lasted about 3 posts.

Here's the reality, ... IUP fans could certainly pick IUP to NOT win the West. The past decade is plenty of proof in the pudding.

True, in the end it will depend alot on how the transfers work out. If Maxwell works out at IUP, they will be hard to beat, if not, 8-3 and sitting during the playoffs is possible. If Rock strikes gold again with its transfers, they will be hard to beat. If someone else gets a juco guy that's under the radar, or someone - like say Tomko at edinboro, matures more than expected, they do well - who knows, the unexpected is what makes it interesting

True. If he makes good decisions and cuts down on the turnovers, the IUP offense could be a Juggernaut of ball control. The o-line - as long as the top six can stay healthy - has a lot of experience coming into the season and will control the line of scrimmage far more than getting controlled. That's IUP football, grinding the ball and beating the opposing D into submission. Not flashy, but effective.
