They have enough Lamar players to do it now.

    I guess thinking back,
Philpot and Majors were doing it before it was cool.

The Pitt State offense for 2019 sounds wild. Multiple punters and at least two quarterbacks all on the field at the same time. Sounds like a combination of the double wing, the Oregon spread, flag football, and (lateral crazy) rugby. Will there be anyone on the interior line or just the center? So, the wide outs will be both receivers and gunners depending on the play, pass or punt. This offense was no doubt cooked up by Predatory Primates and his alumni squad of monkeys gone wild.

I heard PSU is going back to the Triple Option. NWMSU may also have a few new tweaks.

I did hear the offense is changing. No idea what to, though.

Anything that actually gets you a 1st down once in a while.

That would be a nice change.

The current Pitt State offense is best described as Recreational Punting.

It’s a big cluster**** is what it is. The OL has a coach that can’t teach run blocking and the center can’t snap the ball to the QB.

How is the center able to snap it to the multiple punters?

C'mon man. He can't put that out here on the forum or all the coaches and players from other schools will know the secret. Geesh, rookie.

The key is to have enough punters that no matter where he sprays it, someone is in position to catch it.

Just wait for the 5 QB shotgun option this fall.

Sorry, my mistake. Remember I'm a MSSU fan, so it doesn't matter if we know all the secrets or not, we still couldn't stop it.

Actually you are showing your age.............the old single-wing had two people to receive the snap and they were at about 5 yards depth. Just a FYI!

Side note* I am showing my age as well! :)

We had a high school in our area, Polo MO, that ran this every year. Watching it, if executed well, was entertaining and initially confusing.

Back in the early 60's, under Earl Baker, that is what NWMSU ran.

The Lamar offense is fun to watch. I saw them play in the state championship at The Dome in St. Louis. It's a nightmare for the defense with all the motion and deception. Reminds me of the old single wing with the spinner back and all the faking. I'm sure the defense had a hard time figuring out who had the ball. Parkhill HS in KC used to run the single wing to perfection back in 70's (or so I hear....haha).
