Yea, I tried to put pictures in, but it wouldn't let me.
They're going to put red seats in, along with knock-out the walls behind the side bleachers. That's all I know of right now.

I think they said it should be finished before basketball season.

Along with the fine football and baseball fields this should really be good for the Beaver faithful.

Minot is probably near the top of the conference in terms of overall facilities.

True...but you need that dome full in order to get any atmosphere in there. Even if you had 2,500 at a game it would feel dead inside. Too big and cavernous of a venue for nsic action in my opinion.

Maybe they could put some curtains up to hide those upper bleachers. Still way too many seats at court level though. Place could rock if Minot ever got a really good team and hosted a regional.

Hadn't realized that even just the lower bowl still holds 6,000....

Does Minot State have a gymnasium on campus of any kind?

Just the dome I think, in terms of something that could host a D2 crowd

That's what their numbers say....don't know about the accuracy.

I know the high number of seats is needed when they host state basketball, but they could really have a money-maker by creating suites where the cheap seats are.

Interesting idea...anything to help out that program is good. I think Murken is pretty good coach, but a bit of annual revolving door with juco recruits has to be tough on everyone.

That's what NSU did with the 2nd level.

All Wayne State is doing in Rice is going from portable baskets to ceiling-mounted ones. (I think I prefer the portable).
