Next year is likely the last year for the Bayhawks - they are temporarily hosting the Pelicans' affiliate while their arena is under renovation. The likely demise of the Bayhawks could represent an opportunity for Gannon. Let's see if the Knights can take advantage
The Bayhawks are expected to remain in Erie until the 2022-2023 season, when the Pelicans' G-League affiliate will move into their new arena in Birmingham. So, it looks as though there's at least three more years of G-League action in Erie.

Thanks. Thought it was a one-year thing.

Plain and simple... They got rid of Reilly and they lost David Morris too!

David would've brought the local crowd (non Gannon people) to the Mill. Their loss!!!

    From Tom Reisenweber:
Word is the Gannon men's basketball job is down to the final two candidates, a Division I assistant coach and the head coach of a junior college team. I'm guessing a hire is announced next week.

Reisenweber posts a lot of false info. Don't know if I'd believe him.

Go right ahead but I'll never trust that guy. He doesn't do his research then gets pissed when you call him out on it with cited facts. He's not a good writer and he's got a lot of Erie people bamboozled.

Several sources are reporting Gannon job down to Conference USA asst and one of the country's elite JUCO coaches. Time will tell...

LOL... It's true... Two guys for sure turned them down and a third turn down is rumored. Gannon faithful might be getting exactly what they deserve for calling for a successful coaches head!

I'm sure too that there is even less money for the Men's coach since they gave Clev more money.

The #FreeKevinReynolds Movement could be gaining some steam in Erie.

Side note: WTF is taking Clarion so long? I wouldn't doubt they are having the same issues.

The JUCO coach who allegedly turned the job down ... his recruiting history makes Kevin Reynolds' track record look clean.

That's why best fit instead of biggest name is so important

Maybe one of the player's parents will have to coach for a year.

Wonder if JR could be hired as an interim coach?

This sure makes one long for the days of Bill Elias.

    They had the right fit.

That's the same fanbase that was kissing his a$$ 13 months ago.

He has a primadonna retire entering his senior year and his other best player go gimp in November. That's the only reason he got canned. That, and a moronic AD. Same AD that employs the most embarrassing football coach in America. Literally. That's the biggest P.O.S. program (and head coach) in the entire NCAA.

Same fans praising Manchel's one big year ... just sayin'

Aren't you the same guy who kisses JR's a$$ on the GU blog but tears him to shreds on this site?

Hey, enjoy your 4th or 5th pick as a HC. I'm sure it will work out great.
