Arguably the most notable for us would be the JUCO quarterbacks Steven Nava and Paul Herrera. In doing some research, Nava initially was a walk-on at NDSU before transferring out after his redshirt season. Has 2 years of eligibility left. Good pocket passer with good deep ball accuracy. The first thing that sticks out on Herrera's highlight is his mobility. We signed a couple of other high school QBs too, one from Rochester Century (same school as Alex Ney and Jon Dicke) and another from down in Sioux City.

Quite a few large linemen in WSC class, also quite a foray into talent rich FL. QB Andy McCance from Gregory high school has a big arm and good scrambling ability, his shortfall is his height 5'9"

2 OL, 3 DL. Is that enough linemen? Especially on the offensive side. With attrition they are usually very thin on that side of the ball. It has been fairly routine to need to pull people from other groups to have practice and last spring was pretty interesting from an OL aspect.

They typically bring in 40-50 new players each year so I suspect there will be more OL in mix in the end. With that being said was expecting a few more OL...with that being said the LB crew looks solid across the board to a person. RB was a position that is a bit concerning as well, with the loss of the two seniors was expecting more at that position, I do know they had a RB commit from Rochester Mayo that de-committed this week and is going to the local junior college instead (not sure why). Overall very happy with the quality of this class. They usually have a few late signings as well and as I said another 20-30 players that land at camp.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised by the number of Florida high school commits. You always wonder how many of them will actually work out and stay long-term. But WSC has some assistant coaches with connections down there and, like California, there's really not much for D2 options in that part of the country.
