    Default PSAC crossovers Weekend #1

This weekend we get our first big taste of league play, we have two days of crossover games.

These are always hard to judge early in the season, I wish we could get away from these types of weekend or just back to back games.

IUP has looked like the top team in the league early and after watching ship struggle with Cal last week the east is wide open.

Agreed. The Sunday games in particular are usually terrible. Tired legs lead to sloppy games. Sunday attendance usually stinks, too. It's all about travel money, however.

IUP left for Kutztown today so at least they won't be traveling and playing the same day.

ESU is hosting Mercyhurst today, but playing Slippery Rock on Monday... I like the idea of the rest day in between...

Both ESU Men's and Women's teams played shorthanded yesterday against Mercyhurst, and both came away with wins. The women had 8 players dressed, and only 7 played. They played excellent defense in the 4th qtr, and held the Lakers to just 12 points in the final frame, and won 65-64...The Men were without big man Ryan Smith, but still ran away from a Lakers team that had held their first four opponents to just over 52 points a game. Jakwan Jones led ESU with 22, and 3 other Warriors scored in double figures. ESU wins easily...Slippery Rock comes to Koehler Fieldhouse tomorrow!
