That's what I thought but crazier things have happened. They do have a lot of big wins and if they run off a few more, maybe? I know, 12 losses... hahaha

    2-2 neutral

    Hard to explain

Don't worry, they will. Chowan has a good coach and a few good players. It amazes me they have the players they do considering the school and where it is located.

I know they made Ship sweat it out at Heiges. Considerably better ballclub than its record indicates.

The deep bubble survives another night ... Virginia State won.

Shaw took down Virginia Union in the late game.

Shaw vs. Virginia State tonight for the CIAA title.

I've said about 20 times this year over the past couple months that none of it will matter when Shaw wins the CIAA.

That can happen tonight. I sure wouldn't want to play Amir Hinton in a one-game showndown.

    Oh, wait.

You said it, my friend. If CIAA history is any indicator, there should be some strong money on the Bears tonight. And, yes, a Hinton team isn't the type of "8 seed" any 1 seed wants to see coming (cf. Mercyhurst taking down WJU on their own floor a few years ago).

I want Shaw as the 8 seed. When IUP beats them, Hinton can say, "I still can't beat them so I'll join them." hahahahaha

I don't think you want to see Shaw as an 8 seed. They are finally playing team basketball and not totally dependent on Hinton. When he fouled out last night when they were up by 6 with over 5 minutes left, I just knew they were going to fold. The big dude down low and the transfer from Oklahoma State carried them. I think they are more than a one man show right now. The only thing that would kill them is coaching. Some questionable offensive sets at the end of the game.

Today's game should be a good one. VSU beat them earlier this year and Hinton had 38. If the other guys step out I could see Shaw pulling it out. My money is on the more disciplined and better coached VSU team. We shall see at 4:30.
