You should add your bowling score to next week's pick 'em

Yeah that was a big fluke. I'm about a 185 average.

That said I don't think there will be 278 in Morrow today.

    The D2 roadie isn't easy to find a tag-along.

Hopefully things work out with the weather back in PA for the bus trips for the teams today. We are in the process of getting 4-6 inches in Columbus today.

I have to apologize to Manny Span. I said if he was one of the high scorers, Ship was in trouble.

He cleaned up everything today. 11-13 from the floor, 23 points. 22 for Kellem. Ship 100, Kutztown 85. By the way, Span was fourth in the nation in offensive rebounds/game through Thursday's games.

Anthony Lee was scintillating for the Golden Bears. 16-for-21 from the floor, 39 points. Personally made the Raiders sweat early in the second half.

Only one conference has had widespread conversations about schools leaving and joining over the last few years.

Shepherd saw the writing on the wall.

    You’ll see.

I didn't particularly read sarcasm in that. Must've been me. And boatcapt.

They are both fine conferences with members that embody the ideal of the student-athlete.

    Except IUP.

    There. That's sarcasm.

We have joked with Boat regarding the MEC and PSAC for years. You are new to the basketball board.

No arguments here. Much different group.

Some movement in the Atlantic. The Race to Eight is getting tighter.

    West Chester (7-2, 10-5)
    UPJ (5-3, 10-5)
    Mercyhurst (4-4, 9-4)

    MEC

    Fairmont State (8-0, 11-3)
    West Liberty (7-1, 11-2)
    Notre Dame (6-2, 10-4)
    Concord (5-3, 9-4)
    Shepherd (5-3, 9-5)
    Charleston (4-4, 9-5)

    CIAA

    Virginia State (4-0, 12-3)
    Chowan (3-2, 10-3)
    Virginia Union (4-2, 7-5)
    Lincoln (4-2, 11-6)

The CIAA race is real. I hope we get at least two teams in the playoffs.

    Not looking at the rankings

    PSAC 5
    MAC 2
    CIAA 1

    Wow.

Just replying in kind! If you are going to "sarcastically" bring up MEC team leaving because they "see the writing on the wall," I'm going to "sarcastically" point out that Pennsylvania is on the brink of closing down the PSAC due to teams leaving and schools closing due to lack of student enrolment!

Maybe the schools that stay open in the PSAC East could join the NE10. I hear they have some openings! Of course, Shepherd would want to leave then because the travel cost would be more than their shrinking enrolment could sustain!

PI assigns values to the winning % of the opponent a team plays, weather they played at home or on the road and weather they won the game or lost it. Here are the point values assigned for each game a team plays:

    Calculating the PI

23 − Win on road against a .750 or above team
    22 − Win neutral-site game against a .750 or above team
21 − Win at home against a .750 or above team
    20 − Win on road against a .500-.749 team
19 − Win neutral site game against a .500-.749 team
    18 − Win at home against a .500-.749 team
    17 − Win on road against a .250- .499 team
16 − Win neutral site game against a .250-.499 team
    15 − Win at home against a .250-.499 team
    14 − Win on road against a .000-.249 team
13 − Win neutral site game against a .000-.249 team
    12 − Win at home against a .000-.249 team
11 − Road loss to .750 or above team
10 − Neutral site loss to a .750 or above team
9 − Home loss to a .750 or above team
    8 − Road loss to a .500-.749 team
    7 − Neutral site loss to a .500-.749 team
    6 − Home loss to a .500-.749 team
    5 − Road loss to a .250-.499 team
    4 − Neutral site loss to a .250-.499 team
    3 − Home loss to a .250-.499 team
    2 − Road loss to a .000-.250 team
    1 − Neutral site loss to a .000-.250 team
    0 − Home loss to a .000-.250 team

Divide the total by matches played and you have the PI.

The chart that snauz prepares list a number of selection criteria that the committee can use but it is not an aggregation of them. The PI is the PI and stands by itself...the OW% and OOW% stand by themselves as do the Win% and In Region Win%. The chart is sorted on PI and PI alone.

For reference, the SOS (one of the selection criteria that incorporates OW% and OOW%) "Top 10" in the Atlantic is:

    1. Bluefield State .578
    2. St Augustine's .578
    3. IUP .565
    4. SRU .553
    5. Shaw .528
    6. Fayet State .527
    7. UVa-Wise .526
    8. WV State .525
    9. Claflin .524
    10. Mercyhurst .524
