Right now I plan on going to the game. The Mav road tailgates have been pretty good in size- I didn't participate at Bemidji.

Any Wildcat D2 posters there should give me a holler.

Again this week, the Mavs need to play with intensity from the start of the game. WSC always seems formidable opposition.
I recall the 2008 game there; the first year MSU was in the NSIC. The Mavs had a return man, Kelvin Rogers, who excelled at that and returned either a kickoff or a punt late in the game to help secure the win for MSU. Last regular season away game; hopefully can stay undefeated before the USF game next week.

Last away game of the year! Hopefully we play great and get that #1 SR4 ranking!

Great drive there at the end of the half. Backed up near their own goal line and drive the field to score.

Another great all around game by the mavs!! Only blemish on the day was two block kicks which caused the defense’s chance of a first shutout of the season. Hopefully its only a fluke and they clean up the blocking.

MSU has a chance to leapfrog UMD.

With today's win the Mavs lock up sole posession of the South Division Title. Small prize but it's something the team can be proud of.

Wasn't able to follow the game today, and was amazed by the score. As last year's game at Mankato was close going into the 4th quarter. Nice to secure the South title, and now play the last two regular season games at home.

72 and sunny in Wayne. That setting is very underrated. Wayne people were all friendly. Good showing of Mav fans today. Good showing by Mav players today. I've never seen a shutout lost by a team blocking a kick and running it back for two. Was able to visit with my old friend, Maverick legend Phil Driscoll and his wife Vicki. You are always a Mav for life!

Glad you had a great trip, would have loved to have met up with ya. Wish the 'Cats would have given a little more competitive effort

Are the division titles only based on division games? I thought they were still based on best overall record again

I think we tied with Winona for the South one year because of that.

Steve Kallevig and I drove to Sioux City Friday night. Watched the Mavs practice at Morningside, one of the former NCC schools who is loving being a contender in NAIA. Saw a number of Mustang fans wearing the maroon when we stopped for supper at Texas Road House. They have no desire to join the NSIC if a spot opens up.

Shout out to the Mavs fans yesterday. They fed us before the game, got two stadium seats for our ancient aching backs, and generally kept us company. I found out that a number of them read D2 religiously, but don't post. Some even asked if I was Laker- it must have been the yellow shorts that gave me away...........

Thanks for the answer. Guess I misunderstood. Which means the Mavs don't even own a share of the division. Should be able to claim it outright with a win next week over USF

There are also no tiebreakers. Co-champs regardless of H2H if same division record. Unless something has changed?

Nope still no tie breakers so if we win next week we are outright champs of the South because everyone would have 2 division losses

Thanks to this thread I realized that the Coo now "technically" have something to play for at the end of the season, albeit meaningless, a division title! Interested to see which USF team shows up on Saturday.
