West Georgia Moves to 8-0 and Stays at No. 3
After a touchdown by West Alabama with 1:58 left in the game brought the score to 27-25, West Georgia stopped the Tigers’ two-point conversion attempt and held on for a close homecoming victory to move their record to 8-0. The Wolves still sit No. 3 in this week’s AFCA Division II Coaches’ Top 25 Poll as they travel to Mississippi College next weekend.

There was not much movement in the Top 25 this week, with the only change in the Top 18 teams being Tarleton State (Texas) and Grand Valley State (Mich.) flip-flopping positions. Minnesota State still sits at No. 1, but gained two more first-place votes this week to come in with 30. Ferris State (Mich.) is No. 2 with three first-place votes. Ouachita Baptist (Ark.) and Minnesota-Duluth round out the Top 5.

There are two Top 25 matchups this coming week, and the first is a Top 10 battle as No. 8 Tarleton State travels to No. 10 Midwestern State (Texas) with first place on the line in the Lone Star Conference. The second game is another key conference matchup as No. 15 Kutztown (Pa.) plays host to No. 12 West Chester (Pa.). The winner will have sole possession of first place in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Division.
