OBU is in SR3. CSU-Pueblo in for them.
Barring big upsets, the Tarleton-Midwestern game may give TAMUC a chance to slide in.

I posted this in the NSIC thread and will paste it here...

    1. Minnesota St. (7-0)
    2. Minnesota-Duluth (7-0)
    3. Colorado Mines (7-0)
    4. Tarleton St. (6-0)
    5. Midwestern St. (6-1)
    6. Colorado St. Pueblo (6-1)
    7. Central Washington (5-2)

    On the cusp..
    8. Texas A&M Commerce (5-2)
    9. Azusa Pacific (5-2)
    10. Winona St. (5-2)

Still technically alive but a lot of $hit has to happen.. (all teams listed below have 2 losses)

    11. Bemidji St.
    12. West Texas A&M
    13. Dixie St.
    14. St Cloud St.
    15. Minnesota St. Moorhead
    16. Chadron St.

Tarleton looks really good but they’re #4 simply because they’ve played only 6 games. With commerce losing, they flip with CWU. I honestly couldn’t decide who was #10 but choose Winona because they do have a big game against Duluth and that they’re in the NSIC :)

Your flip makes more sense, although I wonder if APU may have flipped them too. The reason I'm saying it is both have just 1 D2 loss and have played the same D2 schedule so far now that the first phase of round robin is done. CWU ahead right now of APU due to head to head of course there. Losing a D2 game for D1-FCS games though could hurt both in the Regional Rankings with the loss each has in D2.

One consideration is that for DII purposes, CWU has a 5-1 record. Their other loss was to FCS EWU. Same with APU and their FCS loss to UNA.

From my observation from watching CWU. They’re not as good as last year but still playoff good and the GNAC as a whole isn’t as good. There one D2 loss wasn’t a bad loss but not a good one either. CWU maybe should’ve kept their agreement to play kingsville but I get money talks.

TAMUK would hurt the SOS. WTAMU has so far helped it.

APU will get a big SOS boost with The Mines game. Win it and they might really jump up and make that Nov 10th meeting in Eburg really big.

Agreed, the CWU D down this year. GNAC is very bad.

CWU's offense has a better run game than last year, but their defense has slipped for sure.

That game in Ellensburg is going to be big no matter what.

GNAC is down.......CWU looks dominant, but I'd compromise to say they're just solid this year. CWU is huge WTAMU fans. LSC looks like a real logjam in the top three teams of MW, TAMUC, Tarleton, with WT right behind. Everything goes through Mankato right now. Great crowd on Saturday in Eburg. Hope for the same this weekend.

I'm also going to say that CWU needs to run the table AND get plenty of help around the region. I'm thinking four or five seed at best this year for CWU.

The ironic thing, after that quote the colts made the playoffs that year.

If they end up at CSUP or The Mines, I would think about a road trip. Could also get to the DFW area pretty cheaply on a flight.

Road trip in the Rockies in late November/early December.

Fly! I've flown into Denver in February and it sure is beautiful coming down over the Rockies. There are even 2 daily flights from here in Pasco, so you wouldn't even need to head over the pass!

Lol... Mankato gets screwed with seedings every year... won’t be surprised if we don’t get a bye..

Every year? 2012 was a number one seed. 2013 was a #2 seed and they dropped the first game. 2014 was a #2 seed. 2015 was a #2 seed and they dropped the first round game. 2016, did not make the playoffs. Last year was questionable seeding as they received a #2 seed and CWU got the #1. I think that might have been an NCAA statement about silo scheduling. So I can go with one year they got screwed, but not every year.

I got carried away with saying every year. I was mainly pointing out to 2014 and last season. In 2014 we were ranked #1 in d2 (but had a weak sos that year) but back then only 6 teams per region got into the playoffs so we didn’t care all that much as we went to KC that year. Last year we were also #1 in d2 and beat a ranked opponent (USF) to close out the season but got robbed by the NCAA. I’m not really big into conspiracy theories but my theory is that part of why CWU got the #1 seed was so the NCAA could save money by not flying as many teams out west by giving them a bye. Call me crazy if you want!

I’m not degrading CWU as you guys had a great team last year and currently. We both just ended up losing to a great team that won it all!
