I love listening to Lombardi when he's in high gear on the officials. I would've loved to hear him last night.

Joe was fired up last night. UPJ shot 72 percent in the first half.

Seriously ... I would say the same thing if I were you. Gannon is turnover-prone and really struggles to handle Cal's pressure. We'll see on Wednesday!
They played well but giving up 43 pts off TO makes it very difficult to win any game.

IUP vs. (at) Kutztown today in the Final.

IUP defeated the Golden Bears by 29 in Kutztown during the regular season.

Assuming this one will be closer.

Good grief ... Kutztown was up 22-9 at the end of the first, but IUP has outscored them 43-17 over the next two quarters to lead by 13 with 10 minutes to go!

Lost in the men's shuffle today was the IUP women's team winning its second consecutive PSAC Championship.

They got blitzed in the opening quarter and then just dominated the rest of the game. It was very cool to watch from inside the KCAC.

    Great accomplishment.

Did they win the PSAC last year? I want to say that they lost in the semifinals in OT (Millersville?) at the KCAC last March. I could be wrong. I think they won it in 2017 at a PSAC East school.

Yep. You're right. They won the regional last year but not the PSAC.

So I guess the one thing I'm worried about with the IUP women is the depth. Tom didn't go very deep into the bench today with meaningful minutes. That's kind of been his trend when fouls aren't issues. Could this hurt them down the stretch?

He has a deep bench but hasn't used it much down the stretch. It's a strange team. I could see them winning the regional and I can also see them going out in Round 1.

It's all Carolyn Appleby. If she's on they can beat anybody.

Today was a tremendous day for their program.

If I have my facts correct this was the IUP WBB program's sixth PSAC title with conference championships won in 1988, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2017, and 2019.

Interestingly, four coaches have won those six conference crowns---Jan Kiger, Cindy Martin, Jeff Dow, and Tom McConnell.

First time since 1987 same school sweeps PSAC men and women.

Boro ladies make it. Wow. Loss to Gannon wasn't enough to boot them out.

    IUP 3, Cal 4.

Glenville indeed passed VUU to host.

Waco Center is a great venue. But I'm surprised that VUU got leapfrogged.

Kim Stephens, Glenville coach, is 37-0 in three years at the Waco Center.

They found a good replacement for Bunky Harkleroad.
