Default Minnesota St. @ Winona St.

Another beautiful day for some football! Big game for both squads! A loss for Winona might knock them out of the playoffs and a win for the Mavs will put them in the early drivers seat for postseason play, go Mavs!

Haven't heard, but am assuming Dodge is suspended for at least one game?

Penalties are absolutely killing us right now

I remember a group of us Lion fans talking about the kickoff time and orientation of the field last year. It is pretty rare for a mid-day kickoff in Commerce so the sun rarely affects the players. But the noon playoff game kickoff, and the orientation of the field, meant the sun could have impacted our game. Luckily it was cloudy for us, but the sun in the eyes today doesn’t surprise me.

A sloppy half there. Both coaching staffs will likely be preaching discipline at the half. Hard to be upset as a Warrior fan, but really wish that last field goal had been good.....

MSU goes for it on 4th and 6 from midfield. Warriors hold. That could be big.

Can Ekowa be done for the day?

Also, it would be nice to see at least an average pass defense under Hoffner. Always a weakness in the backend of the defense.

Agree. But he's been lost out there today.

Coach Hoffner must have the ultimate confidence in his defense. So far, the Winona offense hasn't made him pay.

I second to that! Risky play call by Hoffner but I mean they’ve been going for it all day so third times the charm I guess! 31-21 Mavs with 2 mins left

I like the call to go for it on 4th there. If they don't get it, Winona still has to go a long way to get into FG range. Great 2nd half, Winona couldn't do anything after they controlled the first half.

    31-21 Mavs. Final.

Basically what happened last week vs UlU... best stretch of D I’ve seem all year against a quality team! Got pressure on the QB and got some picks to go along with the pressure! Winona st.’s d got tired in the 2nd half and the absents for injuries were more noticeable as well. What a turnaround and game for the Mavs! Homecoming next week against the huskies!!

Great second half by the Mavs to get the win. Gunn and the O line got it done when needed in the 4th quarter. The D line, secondary, and LB's played with excellent intensity in the second half also.
4-0, and back home vs. St. Cloud St. next Saturday. Go Mavs!
