    Default UNK at Pitt

Kearney Neb comes to Carnie Smith

UNK definitely looks much improved. I really like to watch their O work. Hopefully the Pitt D will be up to the task.

I hope this is the week the Pitt O starts clicking instead of trying out 50 new looks. The UNK D seems pretty good against the run. The Pitt D has played well, too. Something has to give or it will be a 1 hour 45 minute game that is 3-6 or something like that.

Pitt's schedule has been super soft, so this week may tell if that D is for real, and if the offense is close to getting it right.

I see depth being a factor, as UNK has not been a second half team so far.

Definitely wanting the Gorillas to take care of business the next two weeks. Be undefeated against the Bearcats. CSS will be hopping.

Thunderstorms forecasted as of now, hopefully it clears up by game time, or it’s going to be a soggy family day and possibly the first one we have missed in 4 years.

If it's a night game, it might be OK.

I hope so. I want Pitt and NW to be undefeated when they meet.

2 teams in between now and NW. Neither are slouches, so hopefully Pitt can TCB.

The UNK QB is running about 18 times a game like the energizer bunny. That's 1/3 of their running plays.

I'll be interested to see how Dreiling tries to contain him.

Any bets on whether Pitt comes out in a 3 or 4 man front?

    Default UNK at Pitt

Probably a bit of both to be honest, but after watching them last week Pitt does a nice job of giving the Offense multiple looks.

Really athletic front will be a handful for the Lopers on Saturday. Can’t wait!

The Pitt State offense just doesn't seem to have easy blowouts in them.

I think this will be a very good game for 3 quarters and even in doubt in the 4th, but I expect Pitt State to be able to wear out UNK by the final whistle and win by something in the 10-14 range.

Pitt has done an excellent job of shutting down the pass. If they make UNK one dimensional they won’t have trouble with their run game. If Pitt is for real this year they shouldn’t have much trouble with the Lopers. I don’t think UNK has made that big of steps this year and to date hasn’t played a top tier team. I believe Pitts defense will control the game and the offense will pick up speed and put the game away.

Looking at the miaa's schedule on their website we can quit guessing on who's going to win. They have Washburn, Pitt State, and Fort Hays in the playoffs. :-p
