3 early turnovers for WL, 2 ints for the new QB. Better hope they settle down

Damn, this team is bad. I'll stick with history and say 2 wins this year.

Lightning delay @ UVA-Wise where they trail 0-14 with 2:26 remaining in the 2nd quarter.

WV State just connects on a 50-yard field goal to take a 24-21 lead into halftime.

Like a broken record...Poor special teams play gives up a punt return TD...Poor coverage on the long ball to give up a TD...Penalty brings back a TD run and we then throw an Int...Bone head play on an end around at the 10 yard line results in a 30+ yard loss taking us out of easy FG position. Mistakes, mistakes, mistakes.

I think my prediction of 4 wins might have been way too optimistic.

Welcome to the party! I haven't picked WLU to win in three years!!!! My interest in watching them every week is the morbid desire to see which new and interesting ways they can come up with to lose ANOTHER game.

They just don’t have a winning culture anymore and I think that’s what happens with all these close losses. You see it with a lot of teams that can’t close out the close games.

Yea...they sure don't have a winning culture! I wonder how the HC reacts to losses? Does he accentuate the positive ("I'm proud of our players and we played hard but the bounces just didn't go our way.") or does he clarify the bottom line is on the score board ("I don't care how hard you think you played, bottom line is we lost so it wasn't hard enough."? My experience, all be it from outside of sports, is that people who are successful (winners) don't accept losing happily while people who become accustomed to losing accentuate how hard they work and that losing almost becomes acceptable as long as you try really hard.

You look at coaches who come into losing programs and are able to turn things around almost overnight. Largely the same players but completely different results.

Notre Dame College def. Shepherd, 35-33.

Just a weird game between what bits I saw when the stream wasn’t feeezing up and listening on the radio.

Both schools still need a good bit of polish, but hopefully this propels NDC to their first playoff spot—but a lot of football yet to be played.

Both traitors sit squarely at the bottom of the MEC standings. Last team the MEC sent to the PSAC, Seton Hill, went 0-11 their final season before starting PSAC play SOOO the lambs finishing 0-10 sounds great to me!!!

I agree , a Rams passing record in his first start! Just wait until he gets his feet wet. Very disappointed with the defense. Usually Shepherd is very good against the run. Teams will try and run on them, they have to get better. This was perhaps the toughest game on the schedule. I can see them going 9-1 or 8-2. Kind of a rebuilding year, but they should be exciting to watch. Even though we dropped this one, they fought hard to the end.
