Default GNAC Week 1 Game Thread

    Y'all ready for some football?

Bob Ebelen picked HSU vs Midwestern as one of the big games this week. Maybe as a tip of the cap to the HSU fans.

I took a look at EWU's message board about their predictions for the game with CWU. Nothing too controversial on there. They're certainly not like the Montana fans.

I have a feeling about this one. I'm calling for a Cat 3-point win! That is, if the receivers perform.

    GO CATS!

Right now and I found audio at http://v6.player.abacast.net/2838 The game is on SWX, but their "live feed" is saying "Stay Tuned, We'll be right back". I also can't watch it as the channel is only on cable, not satellite.

Already 7-0 EWU who got a TD on their first play from scrimmage.

I actually was able to track the game down at: http://pluto.tv/tv/eastern-washington for video.

20-7 EWU near the start of the 2nd. Billy Greer isn't in the game right now.

You think? You aren't the only one that thinks red is worse than blue! That is The Inferno for you. They are facing the #7 team in the FCS. Central recovers a squib kick after they score to make it 34-13 for their 2nd turnover. Then a flag on tackling CWU's receiver before he can get to the ball on a likely TD pass.

Western Oregon fighting hard as well, currently tied 10-10 with Angelo State, under 4 minutes left in the 3rd.

May be over, now 41-13 in Cheney. EWU sure looks like an FCS contender for the title that people think that they are.

Angelo State drives down and takes a 16-10 lead with 8:43 left. Missed the PAT; that could be huge.

Angelo State with an interception inside the WOU 25. That could be the ballgame.

Never mind! Angelo State misses a FG, a 74-yard pass play, and Western takes the lead 17-16 with less than 2 minutes to go.

Angelo comes right back down and scores with 52 seconds, and they get the 2-pt conversion to make up for the missed PAT earlier. 24-17 Angelo State

WOU's last-gasp drive ends in an INT. Angelo State holds on, 24-17.

On the plus side, Simon Fraser leads D3 Willamette 28-0 in the 2nd quarter. The longest active losing streak in D2 might finally end at 33.

Butt ugly Red Field 51—CWU 13.

True North Rising 35 and Willamette 0 in the 3rd quarter. Central Washington defense didn't look very good against Eastern Washington. Central Washington offensive line looked good at times blowing up some huge holes for the running backs.

I wouldn’t be too hard on them vs EWU. They’re gonna win a lotta games

True North Rising 48 and Willamette with a courtesy touchdown 7 start of the 4th quarter.
