    Default WLU Late Additions

The OVAC had the Ruddy Mumley All-Star Game at Wheeling Island last weekend (Ohio won 21-14). Here are some late (or previously unreported) signings to YOUR West Liberty Hilltopers:

AUSTIN LOEW, OL, Wheeling Park HS, 6-foot, 210 pounder, All-OVAC honors.
ANDREW SIMONTON, OL, John Marshall HS, 6-2, 260 pounder
TYLER MACK, LB, Weir HS, 5-10, 185-pounder, All-West Virginia, All-OVAC
    WYATT WINGROVE, LB/K, Cameron HS, 6-0, 185-pounder
    ETHAN SECRIST, WR, Brooke HS, 6-4, 190-pounder, All-West Virginia, All-OVAC, All-TRAC
OWEN ZEIDERS, WR, University HS, 5-8, 165-pounder, All-TRAC and All-OVAC
JACK DAVIS, DE, Martins Ferry HS, 6-2, 205 pounder, All-Ohio, all-OVAC, all-Eastern District

6", 210 lb offensive lineman? Stretch him out and put him in the cafeteria for three years and maybe he will be able to play his senior year.

I don't know...Jake Turley and Austin Yackey were listed at 6 foot and 6 ft 1 inch respectively and they had/are having pretty good careers! 210 is skinny for an OL but the good news is he's probably not going to start for us this coming season with four starters back and a number of other OL with playing experience. Redshirt him and put him in the gym to bulk up!

Boat, he is going the wrong way! Checked his high school roster last year and he was 6" 215lbs. Whatever happened to those 6'4", 290 lbs offensive linemen?

These are just the late additions that were not previously reported. The officially reported class includes the following OL:

    Cody Vokes, 6'4", 290
    Marko Olivarez, 6'4", 275
    Blake Neely, 6'2", 270
    David Joy, 6'3", 270
    Tyles Ely, 6'3", 285

Also have four freshmen from last years recruiting class that were 6'2", 285+ that are back bigger and stronger this year.

But hey, if Loew takes two full years to put on 60 lbs and rounds into an All-Conf performer...I'll be more than happy to forgive is "small" size!!!

Pretty sure Davis redshirted at West Liberty last year. They moved him to linebacker during spring drills.
