Shouldn't they be higher based on the preseason national rankings.

I'd put them above Slippery Rock merely for the fact that they've beat them two consecutive years! But my list was my prediction for how the coaches will rank.

I'm not seeing Julian Cox a LB transfer and Nelson Brown the transfer from Lenoir Rhyne on the current CAL roster. Maybe their both still coming but those are two thin spots for Cal and two proven college players.

The coaches will vote according to how the rankings ended last season.

    Millersville
    E. Stroudsburg
    Lock Haven

    West

    IUP
    California
    Slippery Rock
    Edinboro
    Gannon
    Mercyhurst
    Clarion
    Seton Hill

I think the coaches will go
    1. IUP
    2. Gannon - something like 18-19 starters back and QB
    3. Cal - thin at a lot of spots. Nelson Brown and Julian Cox aren't currently listed on roster. RB and LB are thin. Fr. will probably be contributing at a lot of positions. New QB. I think this is will be based off the last 13 years of success. Schedule has no guaranteed win outside of conference play. Qb struggle could land them 5-6th if they start slow.
    4. Boro - 18-19 starters back but not the qb. I think returning starters could put them 3 in preseason poll. Serious doubts about the QB spot and tougher schedule.
    5. SRU relying on a bunch of transfers to fill holes but lost a bunch so preseason poll probably wont be too high. If they pan out could be 2. Interesting to see how coaches value the transfers.
    6. Mercyhurst
    7. Clarion
    8. Seton Hill

Don't know what it means but all 4 players who were posted as "midyear transfers" (Cox, Ivory, Opsatnik and Mitchell) are not on the current roster. Lots of possibilities as to why but the season goes on. Team is very young with 43 Fr/RSF, 21 SO, 11JR/RSJ and only 7 SR. QB seems to be sorted out with 3 (Alsobrooks, Taylor and Castelli) down from last year's 5. My guess is Alsobrooks starts but is likely on a short leash. Taylor would move up pretty quickly if that killer 4 week opening schedule goes south.

Upon further review, GAGE IVORY and DJ OPSATNIK, both transfers from AB, are listed as sophomores. Didn't realize OPSATNIK is the career PIAA FG kicker with 36 and a really nice replacement for the wonderfully reliable WILL BRAZILL.
Now for some more odd stuff. Though certainly no one's version of a school press release, both JULIEN COX, in a 7/18 tweet said" I'm ready for something special in Cal this fall"., and NOAH MITCHELL still headlines his Twitter page with "Quarterback at CAL U

I don't feel that the transfers on the roster for some reason.

When looking at the transfers I think only the RB is a senior: the transfers for Ohio State and Pitt all have two years eligibility. Also next year both Cal and IUP have to visit the ROCK

How is Dr. Evil handling the fact that Mini Me is bringing in transfers? I mean he openly ragged on IUP for doing it at the PSAC Media Day all those years ago.

My how the self righteous have fallen.

How bad is lock haven to be voted last? After what happened this summer in the Ville.
As for slimy pebble we have to see if those transfers do anything or if they win anything. When IUP got all those transfers they won a lot and ran the PSAC for many years.
    Go Indians!

Blooms 4th is warranted. No buzz again in husky country. A couple players transferred out and a few returners arent going out for the team. RB Gooden's status is unknown. A new QB with no real psac game experience is in the wings, I do like the starting offensive line and Klinger at DT which is a positive. But the Bloom program just isnt what it once was. Not being negative. just honest.

Honestly, I think they have Ship about right, and was surprised some were picking them as low as fourth. A lot of young talent, and loads of dynamic players on defense. The way it stands now, Kutztown should be a pretty good matchup.
