Back then the basketball team had that long losing streak and the swimming team was well known.

I'm surprised that they are adding a sport. Is this a Title IX thing?

Marshall has had some success in producing college swimmers, so maybe this will encourage some of them to stay home. For example, last 10 years MHS has had swimmers go on to swim in college at Omaha, SDSU, Northern and Moorhead, just off the top of my head.

Had a friend in college who swam for Winona and who had a twin brother swim for SW. They were from Lakeville. Would like to see WSU bring back some more men's sports but that will probably be a cold day in you know where.

Got an update on this today. 15 have gone on to swim in college since 2007, including 3 in Division I and 3 in Division II. Not a ton, but still cool to see.
