    Default ESU Spring Game

It was cold and rainy and the Hornets are coming off a 6-5 season, but there were still close to 500 fans, alums and signees at the Hornets spring game on Saturday afternoon.

Here's a story from the Emporia Gazette: http://www.emporiagazette.com/sports...38d84ff00.html

And the esuhornets.com website story: http://esuhornets.com/news/2018/4/21...ring-game.aspx

    And from WIBW-TV: http://www.wibw.com/content/sports/E...480471831.html

    and from KSNT-TV: http://www.ksnt.com/sports/emporia-s...ame/1132926661

and from KVOE radio (with some video): http://kvoe.com/sports/item/37249-em...th-spring-game

and lastly an interview with coach Higgins on 99.5 ESPN radio in Emporia: https://www.facebook.com/995espn/vid...9132990640673/ and Braxton Marstall as well: https://www.facebook.com/995espn/vid...9126340641338/

The format was four ten minute quarters with a running clock. The 1s and 2s played the first half and it was thud tackle rather than take to the ground. The second half was mostly devoted to the younger guys and was regular tackle on everyone but the QB. The returning starters probably didn't play much more than 10 snaps.

The fun part was in the morning with the Legends Game. The Black team won 44-43 over the Gold team.
