    Default NE10 Schedules

Wanted a place to post NE10 schedules...New Haven announced their schedule today:

    http://www.newhavenchargers.com/news...-schedule.aspx

It’s the full NE10 slate, and the OOC game is Bryant on 9/1. Having a D1 school for your OOC, I don’t really like it, but maybe it’s all that was available?

Bentley posted their schedule; they'll open the season at home against West Chester:

LIU Post released their schedule a few weeks ago; their open date is Week 1 with an Oct. 6 game at Shippensburg.

That Week 1 New Haven-Bryant game is the only NE-10/NEC matchup this year. All of the NEC schools have announced.

Interestingly enough, they're playing three games against CIAA schools.

You're referring to the NEC schools, correct? Just trying to clear that up...

Correct. There are also two other NEC games against SR1 teams: St. Francis/WV Wesleyan and Duquesne/Lock Haven

What's the relationship between spring practice wrapping up and publishing a fall game schedule?

That is traditionally the time that most of them announce the schedules in the NE-10.

Found this in the minutes of the PSAC's Athletic Administrators April meeting:

The group was informed that the NE10 would have a “floating bye” date in their schedules in 2019 and that the NE10 might try to match open bye dates with teams that already have agreements with PSAC teams that season.

This is a good move by the NE10. Would this be impacted by the possibility of Franklin Pierce to the NE10 and the rumors of Shepherd to the PSAC?

I'm thinking the addition of Franklin Pierce would be the impetus behind the floating bye date in that you have 11 teams playing 10 regular season games. Also, there's no guarantee that Shepherd will join the PSAC by 2019, so I think the PSAC and the NE-10 are trying to fill those dates (save for Week 1, which is still an open date for all PSAC teams).

This is the planned PSAC open date schedule for 2019 (plus NE-10 OOC opponents in 2018 where applicable):

    Week 2: Mercyhurst
    Week 3: Clarion
    Week 4: Kutztown (Assumption)
    Week 5: Lock Haven
    Week 6: Shippensburg (LIU Post)
    Week 7: West Chester (Bentley)
    Week 8: Millersville (Pace)
    Week 9: East Stroudsburg
    Week 10: Bloomsburg (Merrimack)
    Week 11: Seton Hill

Worth noting that Gannon has an on-going series with Southern Connecticut, which could be played in Week 1. Still, it sounds like the PSAC is acting on the presumption that Shepherd joining the league is not a given.

AIC released their schedule, so I've updated the schedule post to fill in the gaps.

So do I. If the last game isn’t against the Owls, I would take Post.

Apparently not. I don't have an explanation for it, but barring a last minute change, it looks as though AIC will only play nine games this season.

I really hope it will be a last minute change. I will try to get more info on this.

AIC is on the “Open Dates” list, I wonder if the other schools with openings on 9/1 have them filled.
