Elaine, what sticks out to you.

"Uh, well, Augustana is in South Dakota...and the Eilite Eight is at the Sanford Pentagon in South Dakota so should provide a nice home court and a fun environment."

Great breakdown from the expert, hahaha

Yeah I got a good chuckle from that.

Oh, she's not really an "expert" though. She's just on the committee who decided everything.

Good for Ft. Hays playing the way into the tournament by beating Pittsburg State.

Remember when the NCAA sent NDSU a championship banner saying UND?

Gotta be a really tough pill for Pitt State to swallow. Went from #5 in the previous poll to out of the regionals after going 1-1 this week with a win over a 20 win Washburn team, then the loss to a very tough Fort Hays team. I feel bad for Lane Lord and especially for the girls on that team, who closed the regular season winning 15 of the last 16 games and finished the regular season #2 in the MIAA.

The loss to Lindenwood was a bad loss for them (so bad I had them losing when they didn’t) - both as a loss and allowing LWood the chance to play for and win the auto berth. Add to it losing the head to head with FHSU and Ark Tech winning the GAC made it difficult to stay in. I do believe they should have been in instead of Moorhead. Pitt had a stronger SOS and was higher in the last regular season ranking, but they did have two more losses.

Pitt didn’t lose to Lindenwood. UCM did. Pitt lost to Fort Hays

Must be another Sioux Falls Sun-Augie conference conspiracy, frankly I'm surprised some Winona folks have not chimed in. From my viewpoint things are so perfect for Augustana that the Vikings will not make it out of the regionals. Or maybe I'm wrong.

I just found it funny, as it certainly didn't take much research. While I hold out for hope for my Wolves, Augie is as good as it gets when they are playing to potential, IMO. I dream of us having a loaded roster of athletic, fast women. We get some very good recruits, but we bulk them up so much.
