I don't know if you listened to Dave Garrett's show on the Franchise, but he seemed to think that the POs had something to do with it. But then why would an APU player get the nod. Any chance he gets the HH?

D1 has similar issues. Love from Stanford won Doak Walker award tonite as top RB, but didn’t make 1st team AA
Washington won Biketnikoff for top WR but didn’t make 1st team AA either.

Theoretically, I like it when selections are not made based upon stats. There are many other factors beyond looking at the stat sheets.

liiiiiiiiikkkke leading every level of college football in those stats ?

seriously, what other stats would you be looking for out of a WR? YAC is about the only one that matters IMO and I know good and well he beats everyone in that.

I think Luper got jobbed. But NSU’s Gary McKnight had a much better ypc, and, with that, probably a better YAC, too.

Still, the first two WRs were head scratchers to me.

I was speaking theoretically. This is not about Luper, but about .....

    - The two All-American corners being the leaders in interceptions when the true best corners didn't have a ball thrown their direction.
    - The All-American linebacker from a 1-10 team who was part of a defense that couldn't get off the field and make 75 tackles 15 yards downfield.
    - The All-American quarterback that completed 175 screens that his badass receivers took to the house being named first-team AA quarterback.

    Things like that.

Some things I'd look at in a WR in no particular order....
    - Quality of competition
    - Offensive scheme
    - Stats
    - Physical attributes

The Conference Commissioners Association gives Luper the nod for 1st team.
