Losing early is always favorable. Pueblo dropped more than 9 after losing to WT, they've just had several wins since to move back up.

I understand the why of moving up for Pueblo. Indy is what i cant understsnd, but i think we can agree that alot of these polls is more name recognition and historical performance.

Maybe some of the other polls, but i think teh D2Football.com poll has the most credibility, as it it voted on by a lot of folks with a lot of D2 knowledge across the country.

Its voted on by folks that have some d2 knowledge, still it makes no scense for indy to be as low as they are despite beating GVSU, because "they have a weak schedule" while at the same time ranking Pueblo so high who lost to WT and whose schedule is arguably as weak as Indys. I dont know if a single RMAC team has won an out of conference game.

Pueblo has name recognition and a recent NC, that is the only reason they are so high. They might be that good but as of now who really knows, again im glad we have playoffs!

You are comparing apples and oranges. The season does not hinge on one game. In 2014, CSUP lost to Ft Lewis. Should their season have been judged on one game?

It will be an interesting playoff season.

no to one game, indy has a win against st least 1 quality opponent who is ranked in the top 25 of every poll and 0 losses, in a conference of similar strength as the RMAC, Pueblo has a win against 1 quality opponent who is not ranked and a loss vs a team who might not win but 1 other game all season.

Im not saying Pueblo is a bad team, or that they wont make a deep run at the NC, the WT game may be an anomaly but as of right now the data points to Indy being the better team.

My main point is that at least we have the playoffs unlike the FBS which relys on opinion like a beauty pageant.

Only if that one game is the championship game...

Pueblo is stacked with talented players. The loss to WT was the fault of the coaching staff. Pueblo had a huge lead going into halftime and WT coaches adjusted appropriately to steal the show. Regarding the playoffs, Pueblo has beaten Indy twice in the playoffs, so if they are matched up again this year, I look forward to the contest.

We may never know because they are in different regions this season.

All of that is conjecture based upon past performance. So my original point stands, these rankings are more about history than current performance.

Also "its the coaches fault" doesnt carry water, football is a team game, coaches lead the team. There are alot of talent rich teams who underperform due to poor coaching.

Results on the field matter most, again, im glad we have the playoffs!

Nah, you ENMU guys just always pick on Pueblo since they beat you early on when the program started back up.

I wasn't involved with Pack football until 2010 so I missed that one unfortunately.

That offense that year was something else, set the record for most plays in a game, most yards per game etc.

Went to Southwest OK st. that year, at one point their d line got so wore out their coach just told them to not rush but just stand and cover the screen if we threw it.
