Default Federal Way Star commits to CWU

CWU just picked up a huge recruit with D1 talent. 6'7" Malcolm Cola was named WA All-State 4A 1st Team, News Tribune All-Area 1st Team, and NPSL 4A Olympic Div. MVP. He averaged 19 ppg 13 rpg 4 bpg his senior year. He was out much of his junior year and all of the following AAU season with a knee injury which deterred many D1 scouts. But he looks like an incredible athlete. Him and Niles on the court at the same time will be so epic and then add Ladd and Stepney in the backcourt.

Also CWU signed 6'4" Shadle Park guard Andreas Brown who averaged 12.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 6.6 assists per game

Excellent pickup for the Wildcats, actually 2 great pickups. I've always liked how CWU recruits heavily in their own state. Those versatile 6-7 guys are hard to find, even at the D-1 level.

Looks like CWU is focusing on defense on this recruiting class. About time!

Malcolm Cola was named the 2016-17 Federal Way Mirror Male Athlete of the Year. He missed most of his junior year and the following summer league season with an injury before making a huge return in his senior campaign. http://www.federalwaymirror.com/spor...e-of-the-year/
