IUP looked very shaky in the second half BUT any win is a good win now!!!

VUU is a very physical (big) team. It will be a good one tomorrow. IUP was certainly a little off today.
VUU really mauled WC in the second half - especially underneath.

JCS put up a good fight.

Let's hope that tomorrow's game isn't as sloppy as today's was. Glenville had 27 turnovers while Cal had 23 and neither team shot particularly well from the foul line.

Did Cal have all their players back?

I wasn't there (I caught the live stats) and neither Glenn nor Doran played today.

BAILEY COOPER a freshman from RINGGOLD had played in 3 games this year for a total of 48 minutes and scored 15 pts. All of a sudden in the 1st qtr, when the VULCANS were stumbling badly, JESS STROM decides, what the heck, she can't do any worse than everyone else I've tried. Final stats for #32 ...34 mins 13 pts on 6-9 shooting with 3 rebounds and 2 steals !!! Think she'll remember this game.

That Cal game was awfully physical. They really beat each other up.

Glenn seemed to be moving around well in the bench area for whatever that's worth. The announcers didn't mention her status at all.

Great job by the Cal video team ... very good production.

I did hear them say the Angelo Dome was available but the players picked Hamer.

Somewhere the Cal accountants are dying.

Do not expect either of them back. Watching MIKI G barely able to walk through the postgame after ESU was very sad, but it happens this way in sports. In retrospect, I think both she and LANA D would have benefitted from fewer minutes especially in blowouts. But that is hindsight and I'm sure both of them would have been quite unhappy sitting. The tension in these games is more than I can take sometime, but I couldn't be prouder for the effort the team is putting out. 😀

Forget the accountants. In my mind basketball is ALWAYS better in a confined space. Cannot count the number of great games I watched at HAMER.
I hope you do know that the CUTV crew is streaming ALL of the regional games through Monday's final. And you're right they do a pretty good job for a student run organization.

    PSAC West 3-0 today

Business as usual for PSAC West. Always dominant in Atlantic Region.

Big opportunity for Mercyhurst with an undermanned Cal squad. Winnable game for them.

IUP / VUU may be de facto regional championship.

Last night's 1st round of DII WBB went almost completely to form. All eight #1and #2 seeds won as well as six of the #3s. Only one #4 got through which might be expected. It's looking more and more like ASHLAND is closing in on another NC.
Two years ago on the same night in this tournament, one of the rarest of results happened in the FAR WEST. #1-4 all lost on the first night leaving CAL BAPTIST a clear path to the EE and their eventual meeting with CALU. Don't expect to see that again any time soon.

Tom better have IUP Catholic ready to bang today. This is a pretty rough team they are playing.

Skill-wise IUP should have an advantage. Muscle-wise they will not.

I didn't see VU's best guard in the lineup yesterday. Not sure if she's out today.
