Default NSIC Game Thread | 1-20-17 and 1-21-17

Since SCSU has such a big weekend, I thought that I'd get this started. Would be really nice to come away with a split this weekend. Would have been even nicer if Augie could have protected their home floor a little better last Friday. Time to go take care of business boys.

Too good for my ( chat only) thread?!

The Wolf and Husky may be cousins, but that doesn't mean we are above taking you behind the wood shed tonight! 😉

This is a good weekend standings-wise for Augie if they can sneak out with two wins, since either SCSU or Moorhead will end up with a loss tomorrow night. If Northern picks off the Huskies as well, I suppose that'd be ok too.

SMSU and Mankato tomorrow night could be interesting too, depending on which Mankato team shows up against the Mustangs.

Oh all the players I've wanted to see since their entrance to the NSIC it is Scottie Stone. Thought a lot of him coming in and just something about that name.

If you have Twitter, check the Wolves account. Mr. Dolan, from half court, with a backwards, one-handed scoop shot....swish!

Wolves taking a ton of bad shots. Johnny Dahl could be very good but looks a lot like Smith last year...just gets a little out of control. Closer game than it probably should be...SCSU up 20-17 with 11:07 to go

Mr. Davis for St. Cloud is awesome. He and Doyle for the Wolves tonight would have been worth the trip.

These hoops haven't been dunked on this much since Sarge Grimes

Augie up 46-43 at the half in Fayettenam, a beautiful high paced start was quickly bayonetted by the officials as 24, TWENTY FOUR, total fouls were called. Spencer ended his 17 point half with two ridiculous threes to go along with four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Wolves went on a 12-0 run near the end of the half to finish up 45-34 at halftime.

This conference feels so wide open...I can't take much out of this game other than a W or an L

I am not about to call out officiating...but two times the Wolves and St. Cloud were going after a lose ball and the Wolves should have probably been called for a foul as the bull rushed the Huskies over. Around 5 minutes to go, Doyle couldn't have been standing in the same spot any shorter than 5 seconds...get bullet over and is called for the defensite foul.

Now on the other end Wolves are called for a charge. Also, Mr. Davis travels a lot, but he has all the makings to be one of the best in the conference IMO.

Wolves clinging 65-62 with 4:37 to go

Witthus' 4th and 5th fouls were absolute garbage.
