NW won big over rival MoWest to go to 8-0. How cool to have FB & BB both ranked #1!

I don't know if I've ever seen our region so weakly represented in the Top 25 polls. At least not in very recent memory. If Moorhead keeps winning, it's safe to assume they'll jump in at some point, but, overall, the region seems to be a little down. As an Augie fan, this seems like an ideal year for a rebuild/reload. Either way, there seems to be a lot of parity in all three conferences, with the only true standout team being NWMSU.

All that matters is the regional ranking.

NSIC is down this year. I am personally disappointed in WSU, I thought they had a chance to make a run at a regional spot and be close to the top at the end of this year in the conference standings but they miss Blacklock from last year more than I thought they would. They do not have a rim protector, nor a guy who will play with the physical nature needed in the league to be a top team. So while they can talk about wanting to be a great defensive team like last year, that is not going to be possible until they can get that fixed down low.

Augie, Moorhead and Kato seem to be the teams that could be in the regional. Moorhead is in the regional all ready because I think they beat up on all of the bad teams in the north. I see them going 8-0 vs Duluth, BSU, Minot, Crookston, at the worst 5-1 vs St. Cloud, Mary, Northern (all ready won at Northern) and at the worst 4-4 vs the South Division. That will give them 17 wins in conference and 23 wins overall.

Augie and Kato will be close to those same numbers as they will both go at worse 7-1 vs north, 4-0 vs Wayne, Concordia, 7-3 vs Upper Iowa, WSU, SF, Southwest and Augie has the head to head right now after last weekend. So your looking at 24-25 wins for Augie and 22-23 wins for Kato.

In the south everyone else will beat up on each other with 2-3 teams 3-5 games over .500 in conference play. The rest minus Concordia will be a couple games under .500 to at .500 in conference.

In the north St. Cloud/Norther will end up with 12-14 conference wins with Mary near .500, Minot about 3-4 games under with the rest down near 3-5 wins.
