    Lincoln's WBB has a nice combination of speed and size. The D1 tranfer Brianna Logan from Siena should make immediate contributions.

    CIAA Announces Women's 2016-17 Preseason Basketball Predictions & All-CIAA Team

    Charlotte, NC (October 14, 2016) – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) and its Women's Basketball Coaches Association announce the 2016-17 Women's Basketball Predicted Order of Finish and the Preseason All-CIAA Team.
    The reigning champion Virginia Union University Panthers have been predicted this season's top conference contender. The Panthers finished last season 28-3 overall with a 14-2 conference record. VUU advanced through the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Tournament to the Elite Eight Tournament where the team closed their season falling short to Bentley University, 53-52. Shaw University has been selected to finish second after falling to VUU in the 2016 Basketball Championship. The Bears also advanced to the Regional Tournament, but were defeated 85-70 by West Liberty in the first round.

    FINAL

    Virginia State beat Gannon in the first game of the CIAA/PSAC Challenge at Lincoln University. The Lincoln Lions lost to the Mauraders in the season opener.

    Millersville starts the season 2-0 with a victory Virginia State. Lincoln defeats Gannon and is now 1-1, while Gannon falls to 0-2.
