    Default Sleepers and dreamers

Does anybody have a team that may come out of nowhere and steal a couple of games, and perhaps a top 3 and playoff/bowl appearance? Or is there a team you believe is overrated? Even if you assume as I do NW dominates again does the MIAA retain the status quo for spots 2-12? Can somebody challenge the Bearcats?

It's wide open this year. There was too much turnover at Northwest.

I'll throw the Griffons in there as "Dreaming of being a Sleeper" (And not a Sleeper-Sofa like Lindenwood )

Last few seasons were full of a whole lot of could'a/would'a/should'a and some of the most predicable and stale play call/scheming as anyone.

Whole new coaching staff will bring some excitement and changes. Big senior class should help as well.

I was thinking someone from WU, MW, or Pitt should have a chance to improve with some experience coming back at QB.

Pitt's D has to improve because I'm not sure it could get worse.

Elwood has a whole new staff with a whole new philosophy. I expect them to surprise some teams this season.

I think Hays has a shot to take another step this season. Maybe a shot at the PO's.

That said, I'm not sure anyone will improve enough to knock off NW, even in a rebuilding year fpor them.

ppl are betting on our pedigree but there's no on field evidence - we have as many ?s to answer as anybody. maybe it'll be obvious it's not 3 weeks into the season but at this point i agree it's wide open.

Yeah, really. They've won 30 in a row, have had three undefeated seasons in the last four and haven't lost four games in a season since 2005 (awful record of 11-4 that year). Betting against them is liking betting against Alabama, the Patriots or LeBron

I don't see any big surprises this fall. Just the usual suspects at the top, in the middle and at the bottom. Maybe in 2018 when some of the first-year coaches (L'Wood, Mo West) get more established.

On paper, we could very easily be 7-4! Maybe even 6-5. Time will tell!

    still doing what?
by the logic of assuming what was will always be we'll never again lose a league title.
now when you put it like that it sounds as absurd as it is
winning isn't a birthright & we do have a lot of ?s to answer.
lots of changes at nwms this yr.

Northwest named captains. Here is a link to the story. http://www.bearcatsports.com/news/20...?path=football

Forney must be one tough linebacker! Who was it that posted not to count him out?

Very good group of captains. Does this foreshadow Baker as the starter? I know that RW had said that it will be a competition this spring and summer. I gotta believe that JB has the edge.
