Frederic "Freddie" Young logged the most minutes for Quakerdale Prep who won the 2012 National Graduate Prep Championship. He's a ball handler and an assist specialist. He's a true point guard. He's not the greatest scorer, but he was hounded by the opposing defense. He can score. He was listed on the Quakerdale Prep page as signing with KWC. The rest of the players mostly signed with junior colleges. Freddie may have upped his academic profile. That's why he went to Quakerdale, to improve his academic standing.
He is from Minnesota. That's where the connection comes from. I was confused about that earlier. I'm not sure all of his paper work has come through. Until he is officially announced, it's not a done deal.

Nick Wiggins is not on the USI roster for 2012-2013.
He signed with Wichita State in April - http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketb...Wiggins-129428
Freddie went to a special prep school due to poor grades and not being mature. He has changed a lot and matured and studied hard. If you look at stats when needed he can score..scored when others were not having a great game and against juco schools. He is strong PG. Not much drop off from him to Danforth or vise verse.
I do hope web site is still right..he will help
I just got a really nice e mail from Dave Williams..says all of his e mails and calls are complaints and he liked getting one that was not. Feel free to send him a "good job" e mail..he deserves it.

Current Shocker Basketball roster: http://shockerhoops.net/roster/
Why is he not on USI's roster? Wichita State only has 13 active players on the roster I posted. How could they have over signed. DI teams can have 13 scholarship players. The 14th player on the roster is a red shirt.

On 6-15 wiggins posted video..it clearly shows how unhappy he is at W S. He knows the players and can not wait to get started playing.
I once knew a guy who was in an election..he got one vote..I had to tell him that. He said wait I am in a car pool with 5 guys who said they would vote for me. I said you got one vote..he said my wife worked today did she vote..I said you got one vote. He said but she promised.
I think Tico is that guy..the coaches just tell hin s... to get a laught and have him go away.
Yeah, I know. But, I searched everywhere and that blog is current. There were three DI schools that were offering him scholarships. They were Bradley, Oregon, and Wichita State. I'm pretty sure there might have been a few other DI teams to look at him, but those seemed to be the one's he was interested in. Wichita State pretty much focuses on basketball and baseball.
I still don't understand why Hogg is listed on USI's active roster as a GR. A graduate assistant can practice with the team. Maybe, that is why. He clearly played four years.
Hogg is not returning. How many time do we have to tell u. They did the same thing last year with j rehmel. We know he clearly played four years. It's just ashamed kwc can't count McFarland eligibility years as well as Bellarmine and with kendle

Looks like the big kid from Cincy St Xavier is going to Belmont over Bellarmine: http://cincinnati.com/blogs/recruiti...ts-to-belmont/
One thing about Belmont....they have a coach that is one of the best in the business. Their teams remind me a lot of how Bellarmine has played over the past several years. Smart kids that are unselfish, move the basketball and not over dribble and kids that can flat out shoot the ball.
Would like to officially welcome Orlando Rutledge from Lake Land College, 6'5 guard who averaged 16.6 pts. and 6.7 rbs. a game last year, to the University of Southern Indiana Men's basketball team. This is the scorer that we needed to complete this year's class! Congratulations to the coaching staff on bringing in an extremely talented class!

Big time player here who the Bellarmine fans probably know something about as he really took off his senior year in Louisville. Had a late growth spurt and has a wing span well above his height. He gives USI our first true small forward in a LONG time and also can back up and comfortably play the 4. Lake Land College has put out some terrific talent over the past few years, so he has received solid coaching. And historically players from the GRAC their stats tend to map over well to the GLVC as many of our teams have had players from this conference and have witnessed this.
Obviously Rodney has adjusted his recruiting this year and went heavy with the Juco route and went bigger with his recruits. USI will be far more athletic than we have been in the past. The days of the bob and weave should officially be over....thank goodness.
