    Re: IUP recruits

I thought the policy has been around for a while, mainly to boost the dwindling enrollments of the western PASSHE schools.

And I have met guys who spent one year at (insert FCS or FBS school name here) who then transferred and were glad to have had successful Division II playing careers. Since it's impossible to turn...

I thought East Stroudsburg was hosting LIU Post on the first week of the season.

Re: PSAC Schedule Openings for 2015 OOC Game

Maybe. After 10 ten seasons of no more than 3 losses, including 4 straight playoff appearances, many thought Southern Connecticut's 3-8 season in 2012 was an anomaly. Until they went 3-8 in 2013...

Re: PSAC Schedule Openings for 2015 OOC Game

A win is always better than a loss, but a win over a good team helps more than a win over a bad team. On the last week of 2014, if Bloomsburg had defeated Seton Hill (3-8), their originally...
  7. Re: OT: Save Cheyney Through Dual Enrollment with Lincoln U

Agreed, but that's been their top priority for how many years and administrations with no progress. At least this is something different.

As for payment, there's a move afoot to make community...
  8. Re: Who's Been Winning the PSAC Recruiting Wars in Recent Years?

It wasn't clear in your earlier post if home/auto lenders were too difficult or education lenders were too easy.

Exactly. It seems so risky. What lender in his right mind would do that?
  9. Re: Who's Been Winning the PSAC Recruiting Wars in Recent Years?

It's highly unlikely that they can be sustained. Their classroom utilization rates are already very high (FS82?). The campus is landlocked, thus the targeted marketing for their center city...

Re: MEC Announces 2015 Football Schedule

The playoff qualification criteria gives credence to a team's strength of schedule regardless of if the opponent is within a team's conference or not. So beating an opponent that is 10-1 helps a lot...

Your lack of even one example severely weakens your accusation.

Re: MEC Announces 2015 Football Schedule

It's quite possible that Shepherd would have made the playoffs if they played and won an 11th game in 2014, but it would also depend on the record of that unknown opponent. They also would have made...

What information is untrue in his article?

Where specifically did he not do this? One section pulled from the article is loaded "language". And as may others have said here, people's quotes...

What?!?!?!? I thought the IUP rule held back IUP and was lifted when the Erie privates joined the conference.

Did you mean irrelevant? If so, too bad. Outside perspective is often more unbiased.

Yup, so rather than delayed by a year, they get nothing. Makes total sense. So not spending $84/mo = "work"?

    Re: Concord/Mankato Gameday Thread

Wait. You can't afford $1,000 but you can afford $84/mo which equals $1,008/yr? So basically you can't set aside $84/mo and then write a check at the end of the year. Well at least you're teaching...
