    Re: Sept. 3, 2015

I struggle with the idea that this will be high scoring, Defenses are tough, new OL at MSU has growing pains, UMD's strength (Bauer, offense) v. Mavs strongest (D). Not a pretty game, but Henderson...

Re: 2015 MSU Mavs FB Thread

Mavs 24, Duluth 14. Defenses are tough, new OL at MSU has growing pains. Not a pretty game, but Henderson and Gordon do some great things.

Re: 2015 MSU Mavs FB Thread

Chris Reed survived roster cuts on Jacksonville today. Only 12 linemen left. A teammate, Dan Skuta of Grand Valley State, is a likely starter there. D2 lives in the humidity and hell of Florida.

Re: Top 5 Quarterbacks in the NSIC

He's actually probably 5-3, you know we all lie on our rosters. ;) That said, the hockey stick he'll bring out to the huddle will definitely get some attention even if he doesn't.

Re: Top 5 Quarterbacks in the NSIC

Are we all forgetting Crookston? Last year they had 6-7 UMDuluth basketball transfer Ben Bucholz play QB. That didn't go too well, so this year the rumor is they nabbed Bemidji State reserve hockey...

    Re: 2015 NSIC Predictions

Agreed, they should scare some folks. One year now removed from the Hoffner Flirt there is more stability and talent. I would say 2015's Beaver Bowl will feature the two upstarts of the North.

    Re: 2015 NSIC Predictions

As I come out of offseason hibernation, I cannot help think that this will NOT be like recent years in the NSIC. My Mavs have a whole OL to replace (although the defense is back greatly intact and...

    Re: Isaac Kolstad Update

I don't think I've seen something that is equal parts this remarkable and real-life genuine, maybe ever. Such a tough time watching, but ultimately it is a simply beautiful use of 17 minutes of one's...

Draftapalooza and Free Agents: NSIC edition

    Re: 2015 D2 Pro Hopefuls

Chris Reed of Minnesota State did a 1.7 10 yard and a 4.99 40, 28 1/2" vertical, 25 bench, and a 9'2" broad. Don't know laterals. Some good D2 numbers all over the nation.

Agree. I know the guys who didn't make the cut after the 40 only had the recourse of going to broader Chicago Regional if they could get in--pro days are metro area/local only.
