    Re: IUP Football 2019

They were brought in to succeed on the field -- and in the classroom. Tort had to talk about it so much this off-season because he got roasted for the all the knucklheads last year being academic...

  3. Re: Mike Kellar named Glenville State Head Football Coach

Getting somebody to move to Glenville, WV, for a low-paying job would take a heck of a salesman.

You aren't lying. I run up there every day. It's like a wind tunnel up there.
  5. Re: National Title Game To Remain In McKinney, TX

Yeah, really. Compare that to ANY facility in SR1. I'd say 95% of stadiums in SR1 are high school stadiums.

Seton Hill also has a very strong baseball program.

I'm not sure IUP even has a team. I think they do. Not sure.

Re: Who will take WJU's spot in MEC???

It will take a lot more than one sentence to get that type of topic going.

    Re: IUP Football 2019

I'll take two out of the three 'revenue' sports any day. Very special day for IUP.

We'd need one of the stat guys like Horror Child to comment but I can't imagine this has happened too often.

    Re: IUP Football 2019

For those unaware, both the IUP men's and women's basketball teams advanced to today's PSAC Finals.

The women play at Kutztown and the men play Mercyhurst in an all-West final (KCAC).

They got embarrassed today in the MEC Tournament by Fairmont State. It looked like they just quit on the coach after halftime.

    Re: Shepherd adds 11th game

Football-wise the league gets a big addition with Shepherd.

    Basketball-wise not so much.

    Re: Shepherd adds 11th game

Relax, dude. I thought I read it was like the SEC. D2 football is about the equivalent to Class A baseball and to about 98 percent of football fans it's 'just D2' no matter what league or...

Why surprised? Nearly everybody in the PSAC plays 11 games. Days of the fluff schedule are gone ... this is the big leagues. LOL.

Re: OT: EWL Merging with MAC

So, the vast majority of that 26-man (or so) roster is paying their own tuition it sounds like. Even at D1 that limit seems low (roughly 1/3 of the roster). Why is that capped so low?

    Re: OT: Luke Perry

It was a glorified soap opera of sorts but it played to a massive age demographic. It was the rare show that was must-see TV for, I'd say, ages 13 to 39.

It glamorized a life so few know ......
