And Earls misses it. He's now 4-of-10 this season on FG attempts.

Way to go secondary! You crapped the bed on this one!

Shepherd avoids disaster on the muffed punt. Starting from their own 45 with 3:17 left.

Ziemba goes down, but the refs call it a ... fumble? NDC takes over at their own 12 yard line. The Rams are in dire straits. So far that secondary has crapped the bed.

    Re: Week 7 Game Thread

    Unreal!

Russ hits Smith for a 65-yard TD. NDC goes for the 2-point conversion, and it's incomplete ... BUT pass interference against Shepherd. NDC goes for the 2-point conversion again and another...

    Re: Week 7 Game Thread

Ziemba runs in from 12 yard out. Shepherd regains the lead, 34-29. Now, the defense needs a stop.

    Early in the 4th quarter.

    Re: Week 7 Game Thread

You're not. It's that simple. The pass defense has tons to work on after this game. I'm just hoping we can pull this off.

    Re: Week 7 Game Thread

    Unbelievable!

After the touchback, Russ hits Shegos for a 75-yard TD pass on the last play of the third quarter. The PAT was missed. Just like that, NDC regains the lead, 29-27.

    Re: Week 7 Game Thread

Ziemba scrambles into the end zone from 9 yards out on a broken play. NDC now leads, 23-20, with a few minutes left in the 3rd. Shepherd's ground game is getting going now, but the defense needs to...

And just like that, NDC is down in the red zone. Shepherd's secondary has been beaten badly today.

    Re: Week 7 Game Thread

Shepherd holds NDC to a 3-and-out. They then drive the ball down the field, all on the ground. Cross scores his second TD of the day. Earls missed the PAT, though.

    NDC leads, 20-13.

    Re: Week 7 Game Thread

A few said that the old WVIAC was better than the current MEC. Personally, I hate all of the grandstanding. Like today, this game isn't out of reach by a long shot, but some things definitely need to...

    Re: Week 7 Game Thread

Wow! Shepherd is doing a horrible job tackling today. Notre Dame breaks another long TD after another missed tackle. NDC leads, 20-7, with 3:44 left in the first half.

    Re: Week 7 Game Thread

Mistakes and poor execution from Shepherd so far.

Notre Dame leads, 13-7, midway through the second quarter. I know it's rainy and windy, but Notre Dame seems to be handling that better than...
  22. Re: UVA-Wise-One more reason why the MEC < WVIAC

The thing that may be holding Pikeville back is its facilities. Outside of that magnificent basketball arena, the others are a little sketchy. I mean, their football field is actually Pikeville High...
  23. Re: UVA-Wise-One more reason why the MEC < WVIAC

I hate the look of AB's stadium. I think the two-tiered look is okay for now while the stadium is brand new. 10 years down the road ... not so much. At least it's unique, I guess.
  24. Re: UVA-Wise-One more reason why the MEC < WVIAC

First of all, Urbana did have a decent team last season, but they were never in the GLIAC. That's the same conference with Grand Valley State, Ohio Dominican and Ferris State. Urbana would've never...

    Re: Attendance Data

I've been wondering that as well. I've never seen more than 1,000 people at the most at a WV Wesleyan game.
