    Re: Coaching Vacancies and Candidates

The Cards are probably just some improved QB play (Josh Rosen) from making the playoffs next season & the Kliffmeister himself is the spark they need to make the next step, maybe.

I thought this was an unusual & extraordinary hire. Getting terminated from TTU, initially sign with USC for 1 month, and then be hired as HC of the Cards! Does the Cardinal management in AZ see...

I thought the Major did an admirable job coaching the Cougs. Hope he finds another good coaching gig in the State. Perhaps the UTSA & Texas State - San Marcos HC positions will open up in a couple...

    Re: Coaching Vacancies and Candidates

I bet not many posters saw this one coming. The Kliffmeister ousted at TT, agree to USC OC position for a month & then get named HC of the Phoenix, AZ NFL Cardinals. Wish him success out in AZ!

Silver City, NM is probably a difficult place to recruit top notch football talent.

I would guess that living in Tejas beats living in the Big Apple any day. Plenty of open space, fresh air, and you don't have sky scrapers to block the view of sunrise every day.

Univ of Houston needs to apply for Federal Disaster Relief after that contest. West Point has apparently turned the corner with their football program. Won the CINC Trophy the past two years. I...

KU has not always been a bottom dweller in the Big XII. Seems like I remember Mark Mangino taking the Jayhawks to the Orange Bowl earlier in this past decade. Duke Univ is a good example that a...

    Re: Coaching Vacancies and Candidates

Could possibly be a good hire. WT's offense has been running on empty for a couple of seasons. Disappointed that Kliff Kingsbury was not a candidate for WT's OC. Prefers the bright lights of LA...

Texas-Commerce could have offered Kingsbury the HC job. They drug their feet on this opportunity. However, Kliff may prefer to be OC at USC as it turned out.

Don't believe he will be at Arkansas very long if he has another record like he had this past season.

Both Duke & Kentucky have dominant basketball programs as well. The football programs at those two schools have been better than average lately. Probably won't win any NC, but seem to be fairly...

Coaching Univ of Wyoming up in Laramie is not a bad gig. Craig has the Cowboys in the right direction. Won a few games this year in the MWC.

Congrats to Matt Ruhle & the old Baylor line! I believe the Bears finished 6-6 and consequently qualified for one of the many mediocre post season Bowl games. Go Bears!

There are a plethora of former Div I coaches that would jump at the chance to go to Nacogdoches, TX & mentor the SFA Lumberjacks.
