No, I was four hours away in Aberdeen watching the Mavs squeek out a 21-14 win. I was reading about this game and it seems incredible. One Charger fan said that they could not have run out the clock. Terrible game to lose, I hope that they rebound from this. I was really hoping that Hillsdale would win. I guess that the NFL isn't the only place that has controversy. And of course, the Gophers losing to South Dakota!

  2. Nick,
Hi, I'm Dan Bisher. I've been associated with Hillsdale College football since 1988. Currently, I am part of a two-man broadcast team on the B2 network doing Charger games. I do the color analysis with my play-by-play partner, Jim Measle. This season will be our 9th doing Charger games for local Comcast Channel 19 (delayed broadcasts) and B2. I also do the color for away games with Andy Brown on WCSR AM 1340/FM 92.1 Hillsdale. If you take a radio with you to the home games you'll hear Andy and his partner Jim Eckhardt calling the game. That will help you learn the players names and find out what's going on.
On behalf of the Charger family, I welcome you and Martha, and certainly your son, to Hillsdale. I'll attempt to find you in the tailgating area (next to the Sports Complex and the west side, grass parking) before the FSU game. Hopefully Nick will get some on-the-field time. GO CHARGERS!
  3. DaleDude,
My son is Nick DeMiro. He is #78. He came in as an O-Lineman, but they now have him at DT. We are not sure if he will Redshirt or not. The coaches are saying that he can get some serious playing time depending on injuries. And right now, they have a few on them on D-Line. Martha and I are extremely excited to be part of the Hillsdale Family and we can't wait for Sept 3d. You can find us at the Parents Tailgate wherever that takes place.
    Best Regards,
    Nick DeMiro

Thanks for the welcome. Sorry it took so long to respond. I'm still learning all the little tricks that confound some of us newer members. I've been following football for several years. Necessary for my job, which will remain unknown on this board. Thanks again and I look forward to many great conversations and new knowledge.
