  2. Nope, I'm a CWU Wildcat, just showing my support for a great program. Now that the season is over, my avatar goes back to CWU. Still have respect for NW though.

Another round of predictions...that hopefully are close to reality

by Goods on 10-23-2015 at 07:45 PM
With the regional rankings coming soon and the fact that we're in the thick of the second half of the schedule, playoff scenarios have been creeping into the discussion for many teams across the nation. Within the GNAC, that's only going to include Humboldt State this year. Despite takine one on the chin in last week's 35-10 loss on the road to Midwestern State, Humboldt State's playoff picture is still clear. Maybe it got a bit murky, but if the Lumberjacks win out and go 4-0 to wrap up the regular

Tough loss for the Lumberjacks

by Goods on 10-19-2015 at 12:17 PM
Well, Humboldt State got beat, plain and simple. The good thing is the fact that the Lumberjacks still have a handful of games left. The bad thing of course is the idea that their playoff hopes took a huge hit over the weekend.

The 15th-ranked Lumberjacks took one on the chin from the 18th-ranked Midwestern State Mustangs when MSU held HSU scoreless in the second half in the 35-10 decision in Wichita Falls, Texas. The positives? Ja'Quan Gardner rumbled 186 yards, but found the end

A spectacular finish and a continued show of strength

by Goods on 10-04-2015 at 04:32 PM
Wow.

You can't get much better than that down in Southern California on Saturday night. Well, for Central Washington at least. Azusa Pacific might have something different to say about the 24-21 score.

Long story short, Azusa jumped out to a 21-7 lead only to be skunked in the entire second half by CWU, who would go on to score the next 17 points by the end of the third quarter. Both teams were held scoreless in the fourth quarter, but that looked like it would change

Week four upon us

by Goods on 09-26-2015 at 12:34 AM
We're still basically a month away before the NCAA Division II regional rankings come out, but teams and seasons are starting to take shape within the GNAC. Of course, the conference's best team based on win-loss records - 21st ranked, 3-0 Humboldt State - has a week off with a bye week, but is back in action next week in Rapid City, SD to take on South Dakota Mines.

First things first, however, is this week's games so the talk of Humboldt will have to be put on hold while six of

Week three questions and answers

by Goods on 09-20-2015 at 11:51 AM
Who's with me in saying Humboldt State is for real? After a 66-7 demolishing of Dixie State, the Lumberjacks have put together two very convincing wins in a row and are 3-0 heading into their bye week. HSU held Dixie to 281 total yards (a Dixie team that put up 404 rushing yards on Central Washington last week), while the Lumberjacks put up 565 yards of total offense and six players (five offense, one on special teams) scored for HSU. A complete game? Uhhh, yes.

The Lumberjacks have
