Is there anything you can do about the Joke of the Conference thread on super region 3 gliac section. A new poster with obvious ties to Tiffin's fired football coach is accusing Tiffin U of widespread administrative supported racism. There are also comments about the golf coach beating his ex-wife. As a UF fan is disturbs me that folks are allowing this type of personal and malicious attacks to take place. I am certain that the folks at TU are looking at legal options. I know I would be. No response from the contact phone number on the site.

The 2013 GLIAC Blog

by Tony Nicolette on 08-24-2013 at 11:33 PM
Hey All.

Just wanted to take a moment and extend an enormous THANK YOU to all of you in the GLIAC Community for reading by work over the past six years. It has been an absolute honor to be a part of your football weeks, and the wonderful feedback and interaction I have had with you has been terrific.

As with most things in life, they don't last forever...and unfortunately my work on the GLIAC blog is no different. I am truly blessed to have the career and family obligations

The Run is Over...

by Tony Nicolette on 11-25-2012 at 10:10 AM
West Texas A&M 33, Ashland 28

Almost as quickly as the 2012 playoff run for the GLIAC began, it concluded. After an unbeaten regular season hallmarked by outstanding efficiency and mistake-free (+11 in turnover margin with only seven giveaways) play, Ashland turned the ball over four times and yielded four sacks to the nation's top pass-rushing team and fell 33-28 to West Texas A&M.

Despite things not going as smooth as they'd like, the Eagles had the affair in their

The Notre Dame Conundrum

by Tony Nicolette on 11-22-2012 at 07:43 AM
Posting about this came much later than we had intended, but we wanted all of the fallout to have settled. Plus, we wanted to make sure we had all of the details right and knew for certain how the league intended to proceed.

As a refresher, Notre Dame College announced just prior to the start of this season that they would be joining the brand-spanking-new Mountain East Conference. The new league will basically consist of a mass exodus/mutiny among members of the West Virginia Intercollegiate

Round Two Preview

by Tony Nicolette on 11-22-2012 at 07:03 AM
#13 West Texas A&M (10-2, SR4 #6) at #7 Ashland (11-0 SR4 #2)

All right, so after a "week off" the GLIAC gets back to action as Ashland opens their 2012 playoff appearance at home against West Texas A&M. The Buffaloes were the only lower seed in the entire tournament to advance during last weekend's opening round, and they did so by knocking off the RMAC's second-place club in Chadron State, 38-30. They'll hit the road for a second straight week to find an Ashland outfit that is

Bye Week Thoughts

by Tony Nicolette on 11-16-2012 at 10:25 AM
With Ashland being the only GLIAC club in the field and their having a bye, there aren't any games to preview for this weekend. There is still plenty going on around the league, however, so here are a few nuggets to tide us over until next week:

Dennison to Retire

Walsh head coach Jim Dennison has decided to hang'em up. Dennison is one of the deans of Ohio college football. He's the only head coach that Walsh has known since starting their program 18 seasons
