Is there anything you can do about the Joke of the Conference thread on super region 3 gliac section. A new poster with obvious ties to Tiffin's fired football coach is accusing Tiffin U of widespread administrative supported racism. There are also comments about the golf coach beating his ex-wife. As a UF fan is disturbs me that folks are allowing this type of personal and malicious attacks to take place. I am certain that the folks at TU are looking at legal options. I know I would be. No response from the contact phone number on the site.

2014 PreSeason...What I'm Watching

by Tony Nicolette on 09-04-2014 at 06:43 PM
OK, Gang...let's not get ahead of ourselves. No, I'm not much as I would love that to be true, it simply isn't the case.

With that said, since writing my team capsules for GLIAC Football Media Day I have continued to have a few notions or thoughts on the league rattling around my (decidedly deficient) brain. Hey, just because I'm not the week-in/week-out GLIAC Blogger doesn't mean I don't still fixate on this stuff...let alone any less! I had thought about throwing a

2014-2015 GLIAC Scheduling

by Tony Nicolette on 09-04-2014 at 06:41 PM
One of the hottest topics in the GLIAC from this past season revolved around what the league would do about its football schedule moving forward. The abrupt departure of Notre Dame College is the lynch-pin causing the issue, and what the league will do to accommodate the remaining 15 football-playing members is indeed an interesting question. The D2F message boards have been rampant with speculation for quite some time on this topic, so I thought I would provide a bit of the detail I have learned.

The 2013 GLIAC Blog

Hey All.

Just wanted to take a moment and extend an enormous THANK YOU to all of you in the GLIAC Community for reading by work over the past six years. It has been an absolute honor to be a part of your football weeks, and the wonderful feedback and interaction I have had with you has been terrific.

As with most things in life, they don't last forever...and unfortunately my work on the GLIAC blog is no different. I am truly blessed to have the career and family obligations

The Run is Over...

by Tony Nicolette on 11-25-2012 at 10:10 AM
West Texas A&M 33, Ashland 28

Almost as quickly as the 2012 playoff run for the GLIAC began, it concluded. After an unbeaten regular season hallmarked by outstanding efficiency and mistake-free (+11 in turnover margin with only seven giveaways) play, Ashland turned the ball over four times and yielded four sacks to the nation's top pass-rushing team and fell 33-28 to West Texas A&M.

Despite things not going as smooth as they'd like, the Eagles had the affair in their

The Notre Dame Conundrum

by Tony Nicolette on 11-22-2012 at 07:43 AM
Posting about this came much later than we had intended, but we wanted all of the fallout to have settled. Plus, we wanted to make sure we had all of the details right and knew for certain how the league intended to proceed.

As a refresher, Notre Dame College announced just prior to the start of this season that they would be joining the brand-spanking-new Mountain East Conference. The new league will basically consist of a mass exodus/mutiny among members of the West Virginia Intercollegiate
