A Shining Season for North Greenville

How can one not like what has happened with the North Greenville Crusaders this season?

I was able to listen to the Crusader - Delta State playoff game on Saturday (through the Delta State Radio network, and all involved with that broadcast did a superior job). . . . And what a football game it was!

North Greenville stood up straight, played hard, and they were in it to win it. In the end, Delta State left the playing field with a hard fought 28-23 victory and they made their own step toward the Division II football National Championship.

I will write more on the shining 2011 Season just completed by the Crusaders (with an 11-3 record). One, perhaps two plays away from a shot at a national title game is really something to remember. They gave all of us who follow the Independents a nice ride, and for all of the North Greenville fans out there . . . ENJOY BEING YOU!

    Knowing your amazing record on independent picks this season, who should we be watching to the finals. I was surprised that Minn Duluth is out. Could it be Wayne St. getting the big win over the undefeated W.S.?
