Plenty of Football on 11/19

There is still plenty of football to write about, plenty of teams and coaches and players to honor, and plenty of great fun to have as the 2011 college football season winds down.
For the 15 teams making up the Independents, all have concluded the 2011 season but two . . . Minot State has a regular season game left, and for the North Greenville Crusaders . . . it is a very well deserved spot in the DII playoffs.
I have had plenty of fun myself, and I will continue to write in this forum for quite some time, and for this coming Saturday, some predictions are in order.
So far this season, my overall record stands at 98-33 and what that really means is that I have been wrong 33 times. Being right all the time could be fun, and even though I have met several people over the years who think they are right all the time, let them go someplace and tell everyone else how smart they are.
For this weekend:
The Beavers of Minot State (2-7) will travel to UT-San Antonio (3-6). The Beavers have worked hard this year and they will give it their all in the game, but I have to give the predicted win to UT-SA.
The Crusaders of North Greenville (9-2) have won seven straight games and they are flying high as they prepare for their huge DII first round playoff game against the Golden Rams of Albany State (8-3). Word has it that the NG campus is alive with football enthusiasm and Crusader fans are quite ready for a very good college football game. IT SHOULD be a good one, as both squads are ranked in the D2 Football.com Top 25 Poll. It is the prediction of this writer that a very motivated Crusader team will be victorious.
As Captain James T. Kirk was so fond of saying . . . BEAM ME UP, SCOTTY. Also, I would love to say I'LL BE BACK, but I am not nearly as tough as The Terminator . . . however, I WILL be back with you next week. So until then . . . SMILE MORE OFTEN . . . and ENJOY BEING YOU!!!
