  1. Fairmont State's Season Saved by a False Start?

    "There's no place like home." Week 2 proved that in the MEC as four of the five home teams secured victories for their fans. The fifth--Urbana--nearly made it a clean sweep. Two delivered shutouts.

    Has the second week provided us with a true picture of what the future holds? Maybe.

    Notre Dame is trying to assert itself as the #2 in the conference.
    UVA-Wise is continuing last season's positive results.

  2. MEC Week 2 - Watching for Trends in a Must Win Week

    How important is Week 2? Well, once you lose a second game there the odds say you no longer have a realistic chance to make the playoffs. Last year, Notre Dame College went 9-2 (losing only to 13-1 Shepherd and 10-2 Fairmont State) and failed to reach the playoffs.

  3. MEC Week 1 Recap

    Week 1 is in the books; and the narratives are beginning to take shape. Points were plentiful in half of the games where total points exceeded 70, including the offensive slugfest between Shepherd and Notre Dame where 103 total points were posted on the scoreboard. Ball security was lacking as the six games averaged four turnovers a piece.

  5. Mountain East Conference - 2017 Season is Upon Us

    Well folks we are less than a week away from kickoff when the 2017 season gets underway. Mountain East Conference fans have plenty of action to select from as seven conference teams begin play Thursday evening; Fairmont State seeing the first out-of-conference competition as they host East Stroudsburg (PSAC).
