  1. Round One Playoffs

Right after the SCSU loss to Duluth earlier this year I mentioned that I figured that 3 teams would end up in the playoffs due to how things were shaping up in the conference, and I was pleased to see that did turn out that way. If a 1-loss SCSU team wouldn't have made the dance, it would have really have made people question this current format (more than they already do).

  2. Regular Season Ends, Playoff Pairings Announced..

The final weekend of the regular season wraps up and there weren't a lot of fireworks, but I think all NSIC fans were pleased to see that SCSU didn't get held out of the playoffs with a 1-loss season. I figured there would be some way that they'd get in, and I'm very happy for their supporters.

  4. Last Week of the Regular Season....it's already over..?

Southwest Minnesota State (6-4) at Augustana (4-6)

The past would suggest that Augie is the favorite, but this year SMSU has risen up and asserted itself offensively to the point in which they are the highest scoring offense in the league. This combination of the top rusher in the most dangerous receiver in the league has propelled SMSU to a position where a Mineral Water Bowl Game should be in their future....just ...

  5. Week 10 Review / Who Makes The Dance From The NSIC

    Minnesota State-Mankato 52, Sioux Falls 17
Having my first chance to see Mankato in person this year, I have to say they are awfully impressive. As I was watching the game I thought to myself that this looked like a championship team out there. Jon Wolf’s playmaking at the quarterback position is the one thing that sets the Mavs apart. USF has shown signs this year of the youth-movement
