  1. Super Region 1 Rankings as of 11.7.16

The latest round of regional top 10 for the Division II Football Championship was released this afternoon. As a reminder, the top seven teams will make the playoffs. Earned Access can be a factor if a conference's highest ranked team is 8th. In that case, the 8th ranked team would be granted the 7th bid. Here is how they committee ranked the top 10 in Super Region 1, along with my thoughts. The championship field will be announced on Sunday evening.

  2. PSAC Set For Final Round of Divisional Games

The second round of regional rankings was released this past Monday and, as expected, there wasn’t much change from the previous week. The top seven teams won, leading to only a few minor changes in the bottom of the order and making it rather easy to predict the top 10. My rankings mirrored those released by the NCAA on Monday afternoon. In case you missed it last Sunday, below is how I recapped the weekend for the contenders and how I projected the rankings.

  5. Projecting the Super Region 1 Rankings - Part I

The first round of regional rankings will be released by the NCAA on Monday, October 24. It’s one of the most exciting things to happen during the D2 football season because the regional rankings actually do mean something, and we can finally start to see the playoff field taking shape. Of course, a lot of things can happen between now and the end of the regular season on November 12, but it sure is fun to start looking at playoff possibilities.
