  1. CIAA Championship Week and All-Conference Controversies

    Let’s play a game.

    Suppose I were to give you a couple of stat lines. Who would you choose as an all-conference player?

    Player #1: 49 Tackles, 1.5 Sacks, 2 Tackles for loss, and No interceptions

    Player #2: 40 Tackles, 1 Sack, 3 Tackles for loss, and 1 interception

    Player #3: 70 Tackles, 2 sacks, 13.5 Tackles for Loss, 2 interceptions

    Times up.

  2. SAC Week 11 Preview

    With only one week left in the regular season, the SAC is still in position to have a major presence in the playoffs. Wingate held onto the number one ranking in Super Region 2 for the third straight week, while Catawba hung onto sixth place (good enough for a post season invitation) and Carson-Newman moved up two spots.     For just the fourth time since 1989 (the year Pittsburg State transitioned from the NAIA to NCAA Division II and joined the conference), the MIAA Champion is neither Pittsburg State nor Northwest Missouri State.
