  2. Week 3 on the Gridiron in the GLIAC

    Normally I like to lead with a general consensus of what transpired over the weekend, but week three’s happenings call for a different approach. I have to start where I was dead wrong – the Davenport Panthers.

    Kuddos, great job, well done, good on ya mate, or whatever else we want to say, but wow, Davenport goes on the road to the great north and comes away with a 23-21 win over Michigan Tech.

  3. Week 3 Thoughts


    The Assumption football is looking like the team of the past couple of seasons and that was on full display in their 66-3 victory over St. Anselm last Friday night. The Greyhounds are now 2-1, 2-0 and look unstoppable at the moment.

    The defense forced five turnovers in the game and Mason Spence jumped into the scoring column with a 43-yard pick six in the second quarter.

  5. CIAA Week 3: It's a Short Week and a Scheduling Fiasco

    The CIAA underwent a lot of cancellations given that Hurricane Florence impacted both North and South Carolina. It will be interesting to see how the conference reacts now that most teams have a nine game schedule. Even more interesting is that this week could impact how teams prepare for the postseason. Qualifying for the D2 playoffs require a team to have won seven games. The most obvious contender for the playoffs would still be Virginia State, who played two FCS games and now had their game ...
