  2. Week 4 Thoughts

    First Win

    When two teams play that have not won a game yet, one of the teams will walk off the field in a good mood. Last Saturday afternoon, that team was St. Anselm as they held on to defeat American International 29-21.

  3. Thoughts on an exciting week 4 of SAC Football

    Week Four of the SAC football season was by far the most interesting to date. The most significant results were Newberry's thorough domination of Carson-Newman in the Wolves’ SAC opener and Lenoir-Confirming that they are “back" with a win at Wingate. But I want to start with the other two games that were on the schedule because they impressed me just as much.

    Mars Hill entered the weekend 0-3 and coming off back to back performances against Shaw and Lenoir-Rhyne that were just awful. ...

  4. CIAA Week 4 - Football is back on (Sort of)

    The conference largely resumes play after being sidelines because of Hurricane Florence. Florence ravaged much of Southeast NC with flooding. Recovery efforts are just underway. I hope that everyone remains safe and strong given the amount of financial, emotional, and mental toll that the storm has brought onto people of the area. Fayetteville was among the communities turned into an island as the storm flooded all but one major thoroughfare going into the city. That last road might be flooded ...
