  1. Bearcats and Tigers Lead the Way Early On

    Two weeks into the season, and one word comes to mind if one were to look at the MIAA standings. It’s awful early, but that word most certainly is parity. With two games for each team in the books, we’ve got two undefeated teams, two winless teams, and eight teams tied at 1-1. To be fair, it’s a long season, and we aren’t even a quarter of the way through the 2017 campaign, but it’s shaping up to be an interesting season. Here’s a quick rundown on last week’s games:
  2. CIAA Week 3 - Revenge is a dish best served cold.

    If you’ve been waiting for Bowie State to field a complete team that can dominate on both sides of the ball – well, we may very well be seeing that before our very eyes. The Bulldogs manhandled previous ranked and now unranked Winston-Salem last week in quite a show of force. A few things stood out in last week’s game:

    1. Bowie absolutely smothered the WSSU run game: Last year’ conference championship game shows Kerrion Moore absolutely trampling the Bulldog ...
  3. MEC - We'll Leave the Lights On

    The Mountain East Conference continues its emphasis of providing football fans with an option to watch games on Thursday evening. The conference in fact, has three games going this evening--only out-done in the first week with four games on opening night.

  4. Week 3 in the GSC

    After a weekend of severe weather in Florida and several other parts of the southeast, many GSC fans are still in clean up mode. Our thoughts continue to be with everyone affected by Hurricane Irma. One staple of the fall will help them feel like things are getting back to normal as Gulf South Conference gridiron action heats up this week with the beginning of conference play.

  5. NSIC - Week 3 Preview

    It’s fairly apparent the NSIC won’t quite be as much of an offensively dominated league as in the recent past. Defenses like USF, Mankato, and Winona State, are already looking like top units.
