Good recaps Raymond. I think the Rams will have their handsfull with Post this weekend, they apparently have a solid experienced OL. Could be a long afternoon.

Thanks! Hopefully the rough drafts aren't too bad. I'm usually too tired to proofread when I get around to submitting the post, I have to clean it up the next day.

Good catch and thanks for pointing that out. I'm not sure what I was looking at when I put that down, but it's fixed now.

Great article, however I noticed in the UVA-Wise @ WV State portion that you said UVA-Wise's record last year was 2-8 and they've matched their win total last year. However, the Cavaliers have already surpassed their win total last year since they were 1-10 last year. http://uvawisecavs.com/schedule.aspx...&path=football

Thanks! I've enjoyed getting to know the conference as a whole. Hopefully we'll get a few teams in the playoffs to keep me going a few more weeks after the regular season.

The MEC is going to get real interesting as the season continues.
Admittedly it's still early in the season, and my following statement may be a bit premature. But I believe what we are seeing is the development of some serious parity in the conference.

Of course some teams will have a few years of success followed be years of awfulness. Regardless, it's going to exciting to continue watching any development as it unfolds.

It's obvious Shepherd's defense isn't as stout as last year, considering the d line losses that is not surprising & is going to make it much tougher to go far into the playoffs if they even make it that far. Hoping for the best!
Establishing a rushing attack (usually a staple of Shepherd's offense) is going to be crucial if they want to go undefeated during the regular season and threaten to return to KC if they make the playoffs.

Outside of Fairmont State, there were lots of close games in week 2. The MEC is going to get real interesting as the season continues.

Some prety fair assesments of the action this week... The Fairmont/Concord game blew my mind & shows some continuing promise from the Falcons.

Excellent week 1 recap - thank you. Week 2 should give us a hint of what to expect this season.

I got lucky; but thanks for the props. I caught the first half of the game online and the Pioneers played some good football. Pioneer fans can be optimistic about the season.

Looking at that GSC vs. Urbana prediction, it is clear you did your homework! I love seeing someone back to writing about the MEC! I also love, "a can of polish away form being an elite team in the conference." I miss those elite days. Despite losing lots of key contributors form a season ago (the Pioneers return only one starter on offense), they may be out to surprise some opponents in 2016... Maybe...
