  1. ECSU Falls, All Eyes on WSSU

I want to start off by showing love to the ECSU Vikings for making it to the playoffs. Only 24 teams in the country made the d2Playoffs and you were one of them.

Not Bloomsburg, Not Slippery Rock, Not Shepherd, Not S. Connecticut, and about 40 other schools I can mentioned that didn't make it to the playoffs. ECSU, though the outcome this weekend was not what you had hoped for, you must hold your head up and use the loss as motivation for next year.

    This was a tough ...

  2. WSSU CIAA Champs, two CIAA teams in the playoffs

If you were not able to make it to Durham Saturday, you missed a capacity crowd that rivaled a homecoming game x 3. Durham County Stadium was absolutely electric! There were so much tailgating going on you could commit gluttony. It was such a festive atmosphere, we were all family on that afternoon, a CIAA family. The game literally sold out.

I got a text message stating they will not sell my friends anymore tickets, so they were subject to watching the game from the outside fence. ...

  3. CIAA Championship Prediction

It's here! The CIAA Championship title game is here and this is probably the biggest CIAA Championship game ever! This game is definitely bigger than last years Shaw-v-Virginia State game, bigger than NCCU-v-ECSU game, bigger than Fayetteville State-v-Bowie State II. But before I give my prediction, lets give a brief synopsis of week 11.

    Winston-Salem State 34 UNC Pembroke 7

If you were at this game, you saw that UNCP seemed like a team that didn't belong. There was ...

  4. Week 11, Last Week, A lot on the line

My OH my, how fast does the football season go by. Here we are, on the last week of the regular season and it feels like yesterday i made the bold prediction that Bowie State was going to win this years CIAA Football championship.

Ok ok, i was way off, but scared money don't make money, and I was willing to gamble big on Bowie. I'll take my lumps for the pick, but now that I've taken my criticism, I've kept it moving and it's time to pick the final games of the CIAA regular season. ...

  5. Week 10 Recap, taking care of business

As the season winds down, there are several great things going on in the CIAA. Both WSSU and ECSU took care of business and few more Pioneers Bowl contenders seem to have come into the fold. (I'll explain below) Bottom line is, we have 10 weeks down, with one week to go.

    WSSU 21 Shaw 14

In one of the toughest games Winston-Salem State has faced all season, the Shaw Bears had the WSSU Rams on the ropes, but the couldn't finish them off, and as the will of a champion ...
